In this interview (besides his stinging observations on Young India) Chetan Bhagat has talked about his changing political viewpoints.... do you think its ok for people to change their stance as per evidence they see?

India is still 'considered' as a poor country. By whom? Statistically India is medium - low income country. However, it's one of the strongest countries in the world. Being a superpower is not just about GPD per Capita. If that was the case neither US, China or Russia would be a super power. It's about lot of other parameters. I would rather live in a stable strong country than in rich weak country who is under pressure from the superpowers.

This is absolutely wrong and a defeatist mindset. Common human psychology doesn't work in that straight line. Hopelessness never help get any success. Every team in corporate world knows this basic.

I have read almost all of his books and seen almost all of his books turned movies! Be it half girlfriend, 3 idiots or one night at a call center!
All of these are mix copies of various Italian, French, Spainish, Turk and so many other countries not much famous books or movies!

This guy is the biggest bigot I have ever known! All his books are copied! Everything he writes is from somewhere else or from somebody else with his own so little vocabulary!

I know it's hard, but chetan sir should also include the politics of polarization. We Indians suffer more because, for governments we are not humans, not citizens. & do not ignore that Hindus have been facing continuous threats from other religions. Even if we stop defending ourselves, do you believe the muslims or the missionaries will stop conversation and attacks ? (list is long) We do need money and economic growth, but we also need our natural and original identity. At least say something on why our leaders allowed them to stay in India when the partition was done on the basis of religion. Now they have created the Urdustan movement & present Government has to defy it. Do understand what it is ? They want to separate 5 states from India !!!This is the Elephant in the room, please don't ignore it.

Chetan Bhagat have a negative view of young generation, as if his generation didn't have any negatives. How does he know what is right and passing judgements? Porn damages youth.. haha shushant ke Saath obsessed.. Arey it's not entertainment.. it's about justice. This generation is very aware and have empathy!

Nice chat with Chetan Bhagat..he was quite articulate and innovative in his answers..could not corner him to criticize the shortcomings of the present dispensation. A couple of points I did not agree with:
1. One is that Hindus were feeling left out under previous governments and only bjp is doing things to make them happy..this is a myth created by bjp as issues of religion are only a minor one in a common person's life. He or she is much more interested in improving his/her prospects in life.
2. If economic well being is the chief yardstick by which other nations judge us, then this government has only made the economy worse, even if we discount the impact of the pandemic

What I think about Akash Banerjee is, he doesn't care about the country's growth. He is only concerned about questioning the party in power. Agar concerned toh contribute toh karo bhai. Tum toh maan kr baithe ho k koi bhi government aa jaaye corrupt hi hogi. Aaj BJP se shikayat hai, kal congress se bhi shikayat hogi. Ab toh aap bologe k, "Bhai kuch galat ho raha hai toh na karein? Bolna bandh kar de?". My question is, "Bolna bandh krne k liye kisne bola aapko?". Toh jo mai soch raha hu aap ka answer hoga indirectly, "BJP waale report rahe hain mere videos aur channels" 😂 Kuch aur issues pe baat karo bhai. Actual facts aur growth par baat karo. Ye jo videos aap banaate ho, mujhe toh yahi lag raha hai ki, aapko sirf kisiki buraayi karne me hi mazaa aata hai. Atleast, please learn something from Chetan Bhagat of being positive and talking about solutions. Sirf khud ko aur khud ke points defend karne me time waste mat karo bhai. Please move on and try to talk about solutions instead of acting like a typical biased/unbiased media house.

I read the " what young India wants " when I was 12 or 13 or 14 old ( I doesn't remember clearly) by Che tan bhagat and I liked it . and seeing him and how I much seen him , he is nor biased neither unbiased , he is just go for opportunities and money but then also good , cause who doesn't not everyone is so so deshbhakt.

One language one culture: 4 south states, a lot of Bengali citizens and North eastern citizens of India stood up. I wish more states showed up to protect their languages.

When his writings and patanjali products are best sellers I really feel tensed.

Chetan has brought out very valid points. We should be action-oriented, not analysis-paralysis oriented. Also, focus on matters that add value at an individual level and at a country-level. And yes Chetan, you are right, we should stand up for what is right and not try to win a popularity contest.
