My old old planer mill...cummins 855 engine..and sawmill.

How much did you pay for that? I am a sawmill geek and would love to set up my own sawmill within the next few years...But im trying to budget as much as possible. Ive been looking at some mill planers on yankee-equipment and sawmill exchange but nothing I can realistically afford right now..haha

How much for what? the planer or the sawmill? I paid 7500 for the planer mill and I bought the mill brand new through norwood. I havent used the sawmill much for a few years... bad bad back and no new logs.

@nathan.... I bought a 24" planer off of ebay for a little over $100.00 in ohio (jay & egan planer) I'm like you just a little further along. I have around $3500 in my project, not counting shipping, so far. That's an edger, planer, and circular sawmill.

That is an "American Woodworking Machinery" planer mill. What part of the world are you in ?

Did you ever get this up and running ? I love working with wood. When we built out house I sanded and cut every board. I also used the nail gun on my end and nailed them in place. The whole house walls, ceiling and closets are tongue and grove knotty pine. That's been about 16 years ago now so I probably couldn't tackle that big of a job and more. However I like to refinish stuff when I have the time.
