My high school really pushed mind maps for some reason, and they just never worked too great for me. I tend to overthink what needs to go where. I think they do a good job presenting hierarchical or category information though.
ОтветитьYour rhetorical device using street fighters to signify details of each note-taking method closely parallels the mind palace system with the way associative imagery is used to represent information you wish to remember and understand more easily
ОтветитьThank you so much for these tips! I believe that they will help me a whole lot! You gave out great tips! I’ll be sure to watch more of your videos!🤗
ОтветитьThanks so much! I needed this for college! I am very excited that I can use these methods! You are amazing!!! keep up the good work!
Ответитьtaking notes while watching this video
ОтветитьMan got me when he said "yeah imma use street fighter characters because why not"
ОтветитьI have used the Cornell method and it is the best and the most efficient one for me.
Ответить"Are you seriously reading these Egyptian history notes" had me
ОтветитьThank you!🙂
ОтветитьNumber one adviuce use cherry tree
ОтветитьI´m reading your ebook right now! that's why I watched this video!🤓
ОтветитьCornell is my preferred method. I've been using this note-taking system since 2017 and I've found it to be helpful. Good video 👍
ОтветитьI have always used the outline method throughout out my whole education, but its not because I was taught that way, its because its almost like muscle memory to me. Bullet points and titles are the easiest way to organize notes in my opinion, but if I had a really tuff chapter or subject, I would tend to right some questions and summaries which meant I used the Cornell note method, but not intentionally. I'll continue to use the Outline method until I see fit because I just feel that it best suits me.
ОтветитьMITx recommended me this video! A mix of Cornell and the Flow Method should do it for me.
ОтветитьMy Agricultural leadership class brought me here.
ОтветитьWhat happened to me is that I’m very fast at writing and I write every single word which is not good, because at the end of the class I don’t understand my own notes, I’m not organized when I’m writing, so it’s a mess. I found interesting the Cornell method. I will try that one. Thank you for sharing these useful methods. ❤
Ответить2023... anyone?
Ответитьdefinitely the last one
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьI like the Flow, the Cornell, and the Lazy method! Thanks Frank.
ОтветитьI use Obsidian to make notes, I am currently studying for history, but I’m struggling which method is the best option. The Outline method and the Cornell method caught my attention, but I’m not sure. Could anyone help out! :)
ОтветитьI was never really guided through school other than teachers because my parents weren’t really scholars (nice parents tho) so studying (especially w undiagnosed ADHD for 19 years) had been an absolute puzzle for me I bet I could have been a 4.0 student if I learned these
ОтветитьGood work
Ответить@hanhuynh
ОтветитьI wonder if writing questions relevant to the slides helps more for revision, using the slides for the answers. Instead of rereading notes
ОтветитьMan...I just used to take a picture of the board after class. I'm not proud of it. Then again I made it through.
ОтветитьI usually use different highlights to mark the important actions, than I take my notes (in the system what I created accidentally, It's for me who like to take side notes, additional infos (what other ppl think is useless, but I am a sucker for it, because what if I need it?!) Then I usually never read my notes, only the color coded highlights. Also my eyes hate the wide A4 paper , because I hate when a sentence is long instead of half paper width in 2 row. (faster me to read or skim it) I don't like handwriting and typing is not free enough . 😭 So I try to write in TimesNewRoman fonts. But I also hate it, I only like real printed notes...
ОтветитьI'm watching this after I finished uni. I would've like to find it earlier, but it's still good when I'm self-learning. Much thanks :D
Ответить'Was not a duck' - source, please.
ОтветитьPersonally, I love taking outline notes for a number of reasons:
1. Easy to read and find what you're looking for
2. Easy to type
3. Suits a variety of classes/topics
4. Easy to share notes with others, as all the main topics are there
5. Forces organized notes
(Notice how this was written in an outline style)
Is Tom Frank dead?
ОтветитьI prefer to use the mind map method and the flow method, thank's, it was useful.
ОтветитьThe real secret is not in the note taking system at all, but in preparing for class in a way that you are really excited to learn and priming your brain for taking in knowledge. At that point any note taking system is good.
So how do you prime your brain to soak in knowledge? Usually if I spend 2 hours for every 1 hour of class going through the readings and textbooks and trying to think of the most fascinating, craziest edge cases I can think of. E.g. you're learning about mitochondria, well how did mitochondria evolve into every single animal cell on the planet? what is a mitochondria made of? how does it know how to perform the electron transport chain?
With this method, you become so interested in the subject that your mind has no choice but to pay 100% attention in class, even if class is 2-3 hours. Hope this helps!
Thank you ❤
ОтветитьI love writing on slides. I just print out the ppt for that day and take notes on it. Or if the professor only gives their ppts after class just make sure you write the subject of the ppt and slide number to add to your ppt notes later on.
Ответитьreally thank you ♥♥♥♥♥
Ответитьeveryone here is a teachers pet
