I dont know why we cant just buy cars like Tesla does it. Have a showroom where potential buyers can test them. Buyers buy directly from the manufacturer, dont need middle men rasing the price up.

What about Toyota? Talk about mark ups based on a “they’re bullet proof” falsification. Toyota doesn’t even make their own cars anymore. Capture importing Mazdas and badging them as Toyotas

The fuel economy estimates on these 2024 vehicles are embarrassing. 😂 Might as well get an old Jeep for $5,000 if the new ones are still getting 19MPG at best anyways. No innovation whatsoever over the past 20 years. All they've added is infotainment crap and slightly higher end interiors.

I quit car sales 5 years ago. Best decision ever. I work in pharmacy manufacturing at a reasonably entry level. Make more money, great pension and healthcare for my entire family. 4 days on, 4 days off. I work two nights every 8 days is the only downside. But I do not regret a single second of it.

Between inflation, govt regulations and heavy investments in money-losing EVs, we have lost quality while having to pay inflated prices.

I just told my wife yesterday that there are few cars on the market that I would be interested in buying.

This seems to happen every couple of decades while the industry goes through a correction.

Jeeps have been PROVEN to be very unreliable. Not just CAR & DRIVER magazine either. I actually know people who owned one, and they dont stay running. Even with only 50,000 miles, the turds keep breaking down. Do any of you actually research before you buy? Or is owning a jeep so trendy that you dont care? Lol.

I bought a car that was on the lot for 3 days, I was up against 5 other buyers. The only reason I got it was bc my wife works at ford. It’s a 2024 olive green bronco with a Sasquatch package, and a wench, amphibious model with a snorkel, removable hard top, with a sales price $53k. This would have been a 100k car in 2021.

honestly its not the ceo, its the board members who drive this 100%, its 100% about profits, huge places similar to Blackrock own seats on these boards, they dont know if they are selling jeeps or pace makers or plastic vomit from china and they dont care.
They only look at profits, their own. period.

Dodge Durango Trex has sticker of 98k. Add TT&L and you are firmly in 100 k territory. There is whooping 400 bucks markup in the sticker price. Salesperson makes usually 25% of the profit. That equals to 100 bucks for selling freaking 100 k vehicle.... good bye...

This is what happens when you increase the price by 60% in 3 years and produce cars, trucks and SUVs that are absolute piece of junk. This not just Sallentis but all US and European made autos. Add on top of that the UAW which always want huge raises even though the cars being produced are getting worse and worse.
After owing a GM car that was a disaster, I decided never to buy an American or European made cars or trucks. I have been buying instead Toyota and I am extremely happy. Last car we bought was Toyota Prius made in Japan for a bit under $30,000 and now the car is almost 4 years old and never made it back to the dealership for any needed repair, just change oil and filter.
I am not sure why UAW thinks that their workers need a raise when others are not getting any raises.
Last, where is genocide Joe or UAW now to save these jobs? I know, genocide Joe is busy sending money and weapons to Israel and Ukraine to kill more innocent people. Now that is not going for reelection, genocide Joe or Harris for that matter don't give a shit about auto workers.
With no bailout this time, I look forward to seeing Chrysler/Dodge go out of business soon as company with poor reliability products and high prices doesn't deserve to be in business.

F*ck every stealership, let them all lose money and learn the hard way. The markups, the predatory sales tactics, and tacking all kinds of little fees on to the final price to maximize their already crazy profit margins since 2020. Do your vehicle research and purchase from a private party. You can schedule an appointment and meet at a local auto shop which will have no problem doing a full used vehicle inspection for less than $80.

Sorry, but as a customer, if I’m gonna spend my money locally for an American product, one it has to be a quality build 2. Dealers and sales people have to stop being deceptive 3. Stand behind your product and have qualified repair shop. It’s pretty simple concept. You can’t expect the buyer to stick up for fraudulent employees and go complain to their bosses for them. We already go through enough BS during the car purchase experience. The best experience I ever had was in 1998 buying a Honda through a new company called auto bytel I think they were called. That was a new concept of Honda selling vehicles online with no BS. I picked the car I wanted, got emailed the quote, showed up with a check, and drove away an hour later, with a brand new car for a family member. That vehicle was in our family for almost 30 years. Consumers have enough problems and then trying to help fix a broken system that only screws them
