I was taking Statins after my Stroke but my Total cholesterol was between 195-205 but my LDL was 80 & my HDL was 120, I then noticed server Tendinosis almost to a point I couldn't raise my left arm over my head. Hi Dr. Berg, I just read this on the Memorial Sloan Kettering website: "Theoretically, nattokinase can cause an existing clot to dislodge due to its fibrinolytic property, resulting in a stroke or embolus at a distal location. Patients with a history of deep vein thrombosis should avoid of use nattokinase."
Is that something to be concerned about even if there is no history of deep vein thrombosis?

Natto. That crap is called Natto. Pronounced: (Not-Oh). Tried it once and almost vomited instantly. I couldn't force another spoonful down my throat.... tell me there's an alternative. Please!

You show the numbers related to taking statins but don't show any numbers for Nattokinase and you want us to believe you ?

Wondering on what is a good daily dose and should it be taken with or without food

I’ve recently had my bloods done in the UK by my NHS GP as I’ve just turned 50. The only thing that came back bad was my TOTAL cholesterol, which in the UK was 8.1 (313 in the US). However, they only test total cholesterol and was told I MUST go on statins. He wasn’t interested in finding out the breakdown of HDL/LDL and when I said I didn’t want the statins and I’d rather go down the diet/exercise route, his actual words were,
“We don’t prescribe diets”.
……….Says it all.
I’ve ordered a private full cholesterol breakdown to see exactly what’s going on.

“Na toe” is the right way to say it. And yes this is a daily thing for the Japanese—it tastes better than it smells/looks. Lol
