Galaxy S24 Plus vs S24 ULTRA: NOT SO FAST!

As someone that got the ultra, get the plus if you value viewing angles indoors. Yes you will have far better glare reduction on the ultra but if you view slightly off angle it turns green and dim like you're looking through polarized sunglasses. My s20 fe looks better when viewed off axis and that is atrocious. The victus 2 on the plus model will not have this issue as it is a glossy finish. I also find the s pen neat but totally fucking pointless on a day to day basis.

I will miss wifi 7 and the 200 mp camera. Sad that I have to choose between glossy finish and camera.

Got the plus , noticed it's not as bright and rich as my s22 ultra. HOWEVER this battery life, smoothness and snappyness is AMAZING

I decided to get the 24+ with a trade deal because of the nicer design. I still have my 23 ultra, which is similar to the 24 ultra

S24 Plus has a better design, but only S24 Ultra uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in Europe. Here they had some insane deals if you trade in your phone, free double storage (useful for getting 1TB) and 10% off discount. You can also claim a free Galaxy Watch 6 and get Galaxy Buds 2 for a much lower price. So it was a no brainer!

An anti glare screen protector would do the trick on any screen...

Bro, the best buy promo is crap to the one that Samsung was having. Just as an example, if you traded in a S23 through Samsung, you would get 550. Under best buy, you only get 275. They are literally only giving the 870 on a Iphone 15 pro and the Samsung S23. Its absolutely not worth it if you have any other phone.

ive been using samsung phones for 6 years now and the entire S24 line has washed out colors, its bugged and locked to the Natural color pallet, vivid doesnt work and it looks bad, i noticed it the second i turned on the phone. Samsung already made an announcement they will fix this soon

I have the s24 base and the ultra. Honestly, the base is just so good in hand that i might just return the ultra. Battery is a beast. Last the whole day and more, a lot better than the base s23

Bro! Samsung phones have ALWAYS had QHD+ since the S6. Samsung decided to downgrade to 1080p starting with the S21. I'm surprised they brought it back. It was lame they even downgraded. 🤦‍♂️

I currently have the new S24+ in Cobalt Violet. The phone is fantastic. My previous phone was an S20+, and it was definitely time for an upgrade. I really wanted the S24U in Titanium Violet, but my phone carrier was asking for a higher down payment, whereas the S24+ was free with a trade-in. Therefore, the S24+ was a win-win situation for me, as it offers the same features as the S24U, except for the S-Pen and the additional zoom camera feature.

There is no longer an option to change the notification sound in the Messages app on the S24 Plus. Why was it removed ?

Can you use S23U cases for S24U? Seems about the same phone.

Just want to point out that if you apply a screen protector to the ultra, it negates that awesome anti-reflective screen. That also includes the Samsung anti reflection screen protector. So run your beast with no screen protector but definitely definitely get the Samsung care as an add on so you can get the screen replaced when or if it cracks or gets bad scratches.

Samsung sells an anti-reflective screen protector for the S24+ (that you can get for free with the pre-order bonus), so that sorta takes away that advantage for the Ultra.

S24 ultra is beast

Mark, I don't have all those social media thingies you mentioned in your video, so the only thing I do is take photos in the highest quality possible, pixel peep them and then back them up on a huge 24 Terabyte Western Digital Enterprise class harddiskdrive. Yes, there are still people like that out there and they surprisingly even watch your video, but nope, I will not get in touch on Facebook or Instagram or whatnot. So I occasionally print these photos I've taken, up to poster sizes when they are really good, so say (I'm a metric guy) 80x60 centimeters for on the wall. It kind of matters to me then that I got 200 Mpixels as the original source material and such.


Apart from that, as you said those regions of the world where they put thye Exynos 2400 in the regular and plus version of the S24 do sell more Ultras. People there just want the Snapdragon instead of the Exynos and for good reasons. It didn't use to be like that: I remember a time when itwas the other way around actually, but right now ? Get the Snapdragon, do yourself a favour,. And then there's that anti-reflective Gorilla Armor glass, Titanium frame, the pen to make notes (Yes, I still take manual notes) the esthetics of the thing and the largest battery. For me it's a no brainer, but your mileage may vary. A propos, I upgraded from an S7 Edge, go figure !

A screen protector is essential for expensive phones like the S24 Ultra, s24 plus or any other premium device, as I saw a video where the screen had minor scratches already on s24 ultra. However, when you use a screen protector on the S24 Ultra, the reflection is more pronounced compared to without one, as shown in your previous video. So, in my opinion, this isn't a significant point to consider when it comes to the S24 Ultra.

I went for the plus because I almost never used my s pen. And extra camera features are like a who cares. Like you said. I wanted a new look, and because screens are flat now, I can get a anti glare screen protector but I don't use my phone in direct lighting situations, so i got a regular HD one. it was a no-brainer for me. Saved myself 300 bucks. I can get the new bred jordan 4s in place of features I didn't use anyway.

I still don't understand why the s24 ultra has better battery life. only 100mAh difference, but ultra is true 6.8 screen when s24+ is 6.7 and 6.5 rounded corners, so screen area is quite a big difference. iPhone 15 pro max and pixel 8 pro are also more 6.5 than 6.7

The problem is that the anti-reflective glass on the Ultra is probably negated by any screen protector that you would use on it. Does anyone know if there are any anti-reflective tempered glass screen protectors out there ?

What I don’t like about s24 and s24+ is that they look like the cheaper version of the iPhone, and the other thing is that all samsung phones have the same camera design, so it’s hard to tell if it’s a premium or cheap garbage.

Love the pluse but I'll go with the ultra

The S24 ultra and S24 plus are both too big/heavy for my small hands to handle them comfortably on long sessions. The best size for me would be 6.3/4 with the format of the plus. So I will stick with my small S23, even if sometimes it feels too small. By the way, they changed the HDR on the camera so it takes more natural colors... But also less light, which is a deal breaker as I really love the S23 vivid and light photos.
