my first run ever my friend took me to a blue and I ended up in the parking lot because I didn't know how to carve.
by the end of the day, I was hitting blacks and have been skiing for 13 years
My first time skiing was this previous winter. Long story short, I didn't practice enough, I didn't know the routes of the resort, I got pressured by friends, and ended up falling 60-100 times.
ОтветитьSkiing is something I started doing when I was maybe 3 or 4 and did pretty much every weekend (late fall to early spring) from age 7-9 and only got to go maybe twice since when I was in middle school. I always hope I can go back to the slopes. I’m 23 now so it’s been a whole decade.
ОтветитьReally hoping that’s a fake email he put on the check-in, cause otherwise this man just doxed himself
Ответитьyou did pretty great tho
Ответитьthis is so motivational!!! i went skiing as a complete beginner in new zealand just recently and stacked it at the top of the kids conveyor belt on my first day, but at the end of my time there i was able to confidently ski some good runs without falling. it's definitely all about mastering the little skills and putting them all together as you build confidence.
ОтветитьThe fact that they have a -1 very bad category :)
ОтветитьIn conclusion. Forget the skiing and buy a black bin bag instead. Looks far more fun than skiing and a damn site cheeper
ОтветитьQuite suprised on how big skis you got as a beginner. Usually short skis are easier to operate but slower, while longer skis are harder to operate but faster. From just eyeing it out, you definately got intermediate/advanced skis
ОтветитьIdk why you so self conscious?! You did very well
ОтветитьYou should try snowboarding ❤
ОтветитьThe ski will detach in specific directions unless you have special bindings like the knee binding or pivot binding. Forward twisting falls might result in a torn ACL.
ОтветитьHey man, I know this comments coming in kinda late. Just wanted to let you know never feel bad about learning! The comment you made about wanting to apologize to the other skiers reminded me of myself when I was learning as a kid. Once you spend more time out there & meet the people on the hill, you'll come to realize most of them are incredibly inviting & want nothing more than to motivate you and see you improve! Keep rippin man!
ОтветитьLooking forward to seeing your next go at skiing 2023/2024 season.
ОтветитьFood for thought. The worst things an instructor can teach a student are snowplow and stem turns. Skis were designed so when you balance on one while facing and leaning down the hill, the ski will make the turns for you. How are you going to balance on that ski when you are pushing it out from under you?
ОтветитьSorry, you haven learnt skiing yet
Ответитьtheres no such thing as not being able to ski. some time s its easier for people some times its harder but everyone can ski.
ОтветитьGood job for just 2 days! I would think it's extra difficult balancing being so tall. Kids are tiny and balance easier. I took 3 seasons to really be confident to ski. It's really a great feeling to always explore new slopes.
Ответитьkeep trying!
ОтветитьWe liked that video, it was great! Good job for trying
ОтветитьGreat effort 👏 just remember everyone who was on that slope was a beginner once and fell on their arse 👍
Ответитьwhen my friends taught me how to ski they took me up the hill and sent me off thats how you learn in norway
Ответитьi am a kid and a expert and i went down one the most dteepests hill so keep up the good work alex your doing great
i love how you praictice keep it up
On my 5th day I skipped down the mountain and got a view of Mount blonc I only fell once aswell when I leant back to far I also finally mastered parallel stops
ОтветитьWell done Alex you did really well. I went on a skiing trip to Italy with my school when i was 13 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ski lift you went on was called a ski drag back then as it literally drags you up the mountain. Sadly I have never been able to afford to go again but it definitely was a great experience.
ОтветитьMy 1st week in my life of skiing which was this year I already went down a hard blue slope and nearly learned how to parallel turn XD I think I learned very fast, but Alex! You did do very well! Do not say bad things bout you being bad at skiing. It’s not embarrassing it just means that those other people have been skiing for a long time! And also it’s skiers not ski-people :D enjoy your next skiing season!
ОтветитьYou were a very fast learner but i was better at 5 years old😂
ОтветитьKeep up with the skiing - you’ll enjoy it, and you’re lucky to have so many years in front of you to do it. And yes - when learning, it’s extremely irritating to be passed by children 1/3 your size and 1/10 your age, all moving competently.
ОтветитьUhh my fear is always the lift 😂😂😂
ОтветитьTake me to your ski resort to go skiing!
Ответитьsame, learned to ski in 6 hours and i crashed into a fence. Some guy had to fix me becuase my legs stuck
ОтветитьI feel you man, i am at this level but you did good.
ОтветитьThe first day i look stupid but need to check how i look second day
ОтветитьLearning when you are not a kid is very hard. Some of us took too long, I'm talking about four seasons (6 days per season) to slide down through a red slope with confidence and knowing I was not going to kill anyone on my way. But the effort, falls, fatigue and all that stuff are really worth it. And when you think you can't learn anything else, then you unblock something in your head that makes you understand what you were not doing well. Enjoy your own pace, the views, feeling there up in the mountain... the apres ski is important too! Great motivation to wait for the winter.
ОтветитьYou did great!
ОтветитьI learned how to ski in 40 mins after 5 years for my school field trip
ОтветитьLove this guy/ over Summer he is on Baustelle 🤣✌️
ОтветитьU did Godot for firat time
ОтветитьI will be 70 in June and took my first ski lesson and surprisingly my instructor’s name was Phil too. Great instructor. I did great but I knew I would just a feeling I had and knew I had to do it. Yes not easy but such a great accomplishment for me. Will I ski again? Hell ya. 🇨🇦
ОтветитьI now, kinda also wanna learn how to ski
ОтветитьYou're doing amazing!
Ответитьyesterday was my first time snowboarding i went from not being able to stand up to at the end of the day doing the double black diamond.
Ответитьshouldn't be embarrassing.
anyway, where ya poles at?
some dont use ig.
It’s so strange knowing that once I was learning like this and now I am going down as one of the fastest on the piste
ОтветитьBrilliant honest review and you did do well
Ответитьgood job bro
