Thank you
ОтветитьExcuse me, but you are no « internet random »! your CoCovid stays’ tutorial served me as a guide for my first stays. Thank you so much for this lovely fitting tutorial <3
ОтветитьI would’ve never thought to use cardboard!
ОтветитьThank you for noting that the stays'll shrink some due to the boning. The first time it happened to me I was so darned confused D:
About the book, is it (mainly) about women's clothing? I might try to get my hands on a copy
this is fascinating! I can't wait for tomorrow's video!
ОтветитьI think you forgot to link for the form to collect the badge.
ОтветитьIs there a CoSy badge link for this video?
Ответитьi'm so jealous of all you americans that can get costume close-up, it seems like such a wonderfull book
ОтветитьGood job darling! Proud of you for working so hard on this!
ОтветитьThe cardboard idea is genius! Love it.
ОтветитьI would have never thought of a cardboard mockup! Definitely will try that whenever I'll make stays... that might be a long time in the future but still
ОтветитьGracie the stays Queen does it again! Does the boning change the fit very much, or does it just smooth things out?
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm planning on making my own pair of stays soon. I've made my pattern but have been putting off making a mock up of it, but I think your cardboard mockup might be the trick to get me to work on them again, so thanks! As someone who also makes videos, I appreciate all the moments where you do the thing at awkward angles to make the filming angle clear and informative ;P
ОтветитьI bought a copy of Costume Close-up in the U.K., from Amazon.
ОтветитьObligatory comment to make the algorithm*
But honestly thanks for sharing your tips on how to save time with a cardboard mock up
Totally doing this for the stays i wanna make, itll probably be easier because im going for a front closure lol
ОтветитьSo totally off topic, but I love that dark green foxes fabric 😍 did you make it and buy that fabric somewhere? (Hope so, though might still not be able to get the fabric here in the Netherlands)
ОтветитьHey! I really enjoyed last year's stays. they helped a whole lot when i was clueless. btw, mine didnt turn out nearly so well, but as we do, new ones are planned.
ОтветитьI'm just about to start my first set of 18th century stays so this video has perfect timing. Thank you!
ОтветитьReally appreciate your thinking to mention an option for people with hand pain. It's definitely an obstacle: used to LOVE eyelets and now they're my bane 🤣
ОтветитьLike the shirt BTW
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your fitting process! Appreciated the note about seeing where the "rabbit ears" on the front piece can go, and how you adjusted the pattern to take care of it. Cardboard mockups are so helpful when it comes to stays, IMHO.
ОтветитьLove your shirt, love the video!
ОтветитьCan you make me one😢
