I'm not a fan of our country's royal families but it still breaks my heart to hear the stories of how badly the queen wanted to go back to Mandalay where she grew up and lived her whole life . She waited for the chance to go back to Mandalay till her last breath but she never could . She and the Kind died on the stranger's land :(

Remember that Lord Mountbatten was Supreme Allied Commander in Southeast Asia in WWII and led the Allied campaign in Burma. These are veterans of that campaign.
