Instructions unclear: Bought X58 Xeon instead.
Ответитьwich has lower input lag on games
ОтветитьI upgraded to the 5800x3d from the 3800XT, best decision I’ve made.. all apart from now my 6800XT 16GB Gaming Trio is such a bottleneck 😅
ОтветитьWhat about stock amd cooler with 5800x3D
Ответитьi want to get a 5800x3d but i got a b450 asus prime board.. will i be okay?
ОтветитьMine clock stretches with any kind of negative Voltage offset (determined by comparing Effective Clock to Core Clock in HWInfo). Did yours not clock-stretch with the negative offset?
ОтветитьThe scores for Cyber punk at 4k clearly show the gpu is the bottleneck here. The scores are almost identical for 5 different setups. The 5800x3d will be great for years!
Ответитьa lot of people are still on B350 etc. boards that can easily run this CPU. I just went from 3600 to 5800X3D and I love my PC again.
Ответитьis it still reasonable to build a ryzen 7 5800x3d with 4070?
ОтветитьI upgraded from the 5600g to this and man it's an incredible processor. Not to mention it's so cheap right now compared to intel.
ОтветитьI'm using my 5800X3D in an Asus Prime B450-PLUS mobo and all the components are running cool and fine, and has no performance issues.
ОтветитьIs great cpu 👍
ОтветитьThank you for the VIdeo. I just got my 5800x3d. Undervolting for tmep reasons at least till i can get a new Aio or Air cooler tbat can handel it.
ОтветитьI found -30 mv worked best with my setup and gave me higher all core clocks and lower temps. Tuned the memory a small amount also, but didn’t see an appreciable difference in performance. Also, best to install a fresh copy of Windows if possible after installing this CPU.
ОтветитьGreetings from Spain. Great video. Would you rather perform a curve optimizer instead of this 50mV undervolt? I find these two ways to tune this processor and don't know wich is better.
ОтветитьYou're better off using per-core Curve Optimizer instead of setting a fixed undervolt. It is still possible with the 5800X3D even if you're BIOS doesn't allow it, using PBO2 Tuner software. The downside of it is that it can be time consuming to find the lowest setting for each core.
ОтветитьPrime day was a steal.
ОтветитьI just bought a Gigabyte B450 Gaming X for only 21€/23$. Can this board drive the 5800X3D tonits full potential?
Ответитьwhat cooler is great for this cpu, is a must that this cpu requires liquid cooler? or i can use air cooler double fan double towwer
Ответитьthinking about getting one of these, but my old x370 mobo kinda didn't update its cpu support list even though I heard some pple use it on the same mobo ( it even supports the 5950x so... a 5800x3d should be easily supported). Think I'll just buy it, see if it works and if not buy a newer mobo, but I hope I don't have to cause mobo's with good features and connectivity rn are crazy expensive and it's why I don't care about the newest platform even if it would be better for some things.
ОтветитьCheaped out lol... I just paid 350 dollars for this today...
ОтветитьPBO2 Tuner + CO -30 all cores or -25 on two best cores...
ОтветитьLol even now it's a pain to get 7000 series running. First off I'm very angry my motherboard HID the memory state recall option (I had to search it up, after trawling the entire menu. There it is.)
A 1 minute boot is not cool.
ESPECIALLY when you're installing OS and getting ready to test the memory tuning you have to learn to do now because Expo didn't work. Oh and be sure to check your SOC voltage or your chip explodes, your warranty is invalid for no reason because ASUS says so. Good bloody gravy...
My friend is upgrading his system. I will get to build the 5000 series system I should have in the first place and it's gonna be SO easy.
..... I'm changing my Newegg order lol
ОтветитьExcellent video, Thank you! :)
Ответить- 50mv vs PBO -30 pls
Ответитьhow about using A320?
ОтветитьWouldn´t you get a massive bottleneck pairing this CPU with a 4090?!
ОтветитьI really want to get this processor mostly for Escape From Tarkov due to that game being more cpu dependent than other games and you can’t beat the extra L3 cache. I want to build a new PC but I’m not sure if I should just spend the extra cash to get ddr5 memory with a 7800x3d to future proof my pc more.
ОтветитьGot 5800X3d and XFX 6950XT, both undervolted, and they do more then even expected, blown away with the performance. Coming from 5700x and 6700 XT.
ОтветитьIts not "off of" it is "from"!
ОтветитьSo basically go with a 13600k? Because not only does it have excellent gaming performance, it also has excellent productivity performance, where the 5800x3D lags behind a bit. I'd say the only reason you should go with 5800x3D is if you already have an AM4 motherboard. But if you're going to buy a motherboard, 13600k seems like the better option to me.
Of course now we have the newer Ryzen chips, and those might be worth considering as well, but AM5 requires DDR5.
Got the 5800x3d on my x370 Crosshair VI Hero. An 2017 mobo, and I have almost top of the notch performance in gaming paired with a 3080. AM4 was absolutely an AWESOME platform.
From 1700, to 3800x and now 5800x3d, gains were just huge!
Does this result not happen on other b550 motherboards it would be interesting to know.
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьWas thinking of slotting one of these into my B450 Aorus M and undervolting it. Do you think this would be a problem for the VRMs?
Ответитьsince I'm finally at the point where I can upgrade, this test is super interesting. it's super fast in games and affordable. but with my current plans, I'm looking at lots of memory and a port heavy board.
ОтветитьHello, would it be viable to go from a 5600x to a 5800x3d. I have a 3080 ti on the rig.
ОтветитьNice video though hoped to see more info on temp during。But anyway do you think with a mesh case a master cooler hyper would do a decent job keeping it cool enough?
ОтветитьIs it better to get a Ryzen 9 5900X or this Ryzen 7 5800X3D with an RTX 3070 @ 1080P 144Hz?
The price differences are not much, around $25 more for the Ryzen 9 5900X.
I going to try a b350 with this 5800x3D.
Ответитьcheaped out? you have a 4090
ОтветитьAMD killed it with their 3D CPUs.
Can't wait to see what they evolve into over time. I can't remember the last time we had "pure" gaming CPUs.
I had a 3900x and even with the pbo bug bringing my clocks up to 4.6 ghz i often hovered around 60 fps in sons of the forest 1440p ultra. The 5800x3d carried me straight to 110 fps minimum on my 7900xtx. Incredible.
Ответитьjust built a 5800x3d with a rog strix b550-f motherboard and a 4070ti and man it was night and day from my older system even with my old 3070ti especially since I game at 1440p
ОтветитьIs the 5800X3D similar in productivity to the 5800X?
ОтветитьLove the video and it left me the decision to purchase it overnight. Not sure what I did tho after undervolting my score it 16k multi core. How you get 14k
ОтветитьI just paid $40 for x570 asus tuf gaming wifi board that the only thing wrong was i had to solder back on the cmos battery holder. no way to test till i get the ram and 5800x3d in i just ordered, not sure what i'll do with my xeon 1680 v2 that has been my main rig for that last 3 years but i am excited to see how well this does. full cost of upgrade $40 mobo, $66 ddr4 3200mhz 32gb, $320 5800x3d, and $100 solidigm p41 plus 2tb nvme. $526. not breaking the bank gonna reuse my case, cooler (with a amd braket it came withcorsair h100i v2), psu, and my other 1tb ssd, and psu a seasonic focus gm-850(80-plus gold).
