Owners neglectful you don't let cats outside then expect them to be safe doesn't even have a carrier

You should not leave your cat outside for any reason--Way too many dangers!--He will come back hurt everytime and one time may not come back at all!! it will cost you plenty! Be smart keep them indoors--get him a tall cat tree to play on--They love those! Also you should have him in a carrier to take him into the vet to protect him from other animals. I do not care for irresponsible pet owners like you

My cat all of the sudden won’t step on her front paw. There no fractures and the paw is clean with no swelling.

Why, in 2023, any vet would make a pet owner suffer through giving a cat a pill is beyond me. Nearly every medicine, including antibiotics, for a cat can be given in a solution or suspension. It's so much easier for the guardian, and for the cat.

We had a big make Tom that was fixed late in life and he had the exact problem, after 4-7 days on antibiotics he was ok, hope Charles is doing good too.

You scruff the cat take the temperature. Cat obviously needs antibiotics. Maybe best to leave cat inside if you want your cat.

With an abscessed paw that swollen he should have opened up the abscess and drained out the pus.

Letting a cat be outside in an unlimited way is a recipe for this sort of thing - and worse. He'll use up his '9 lives', far too quickly.

I would strongly advise a plastic cat carrier instead of carrying the cat.. My guess - this is a unaltered Tom cat who goes out every night breeding and adding to the huge unwanted kitten population problem in America.. Cat got into a fight with another Tom cat.. Dont know why Doc thought it was a wild animal bite..
