You should go to the county side for homemade traditional Hungarian food. In the city is good but not like the country side , pig slaughter is one of the best times in Hungary

Sadly the Langos place in the video is more. The metro station was rebuilt and there are no vendors there. Thankfully, across the street is another Langos place (Retro Langos Budapest) and it is good.

Sadly you did not try the Szalontudo.

I wouldn't recommend eating in markets. Like in other cities, you end up spending much more for a lesser dinning experience

In czechia we eat exactly the same blood sausage with sourkraut and potatoes

For the record " hurka " is Jewish food and not Hungarian as Christians don`t eat blood as per Bible. The same goes for the grilled blood with onion.

I love this video! Great job! I am a Hungarian living in the US, came here in 1994. I want to go back so badly. 7 more years till my retirement. Can hardly wait to go back to my homeland. I only cook Hungarian food here, hate burgers and fast food. There is nothing like the Hungarian cuisine. There is no city like Budapest. I miss Hungary more and more every day. The culture, the people, the history, the buildings, the food, the hospitality. The US has been a big let down. Hungary is the best country in the world. Even with that moron, Orban, and since we might get trump back. I might as well just go back. No matter how terrible that government is, it is still better than another trump presidency. And the Hungarians are way more educated and smarter than people here.
