Great review. I own them both and was thinking of selling the mavic mini 2 but after watching this entire video I have decided to keep them both....
ОтветитьFor Mini 2, i can say its photo and video quality are much more than i expected. More enough than need's of a hobbyist. But what i dont like about Mini 2 is lack of HDR video-photo (RAW is my friend as for now), lack of active track (Without 3rd party) and maybe obstacle sensors (For some extreme conditions). Mini 3 Pro exists for this. But Mini 2 in this price is really game changer for a hobbyist..
ОтветитьI've always loved my mini 2 and didn't think I needed anything bigger till I just realized they don't make any unlimited range payload dropping devices for the mini 2 meaning no separate remote required so as far as the drone can go you can drop items through the built in app.. that changes everything for me. need to drop people drinks in the amphitheater this summer😅😅
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Even two years after originally published it was very helpful
ОтветитьOne of the best comparison videos I've come across. Great info guys!
ОтветитьJust sold my mini 2 and bought the air 2. First thing i nothing about the air 2 was it's handling, it feels terrible compared to the mini 2. Is this normal?
ОтветитьVery informative. Was set on getting a brand new Mini 2 but have recently started looking at the secondhand prices of the Air 2. Licencing in the UK doesn't bother me, passed the flyer ID test yesterday which is easy, free and is valid for 5 years! The operator ID will cost £9 per year.
Mainly buying for fun and the photography element so now leaning towards the Air 2
Awesome video and great content, thank you 👍
ОтветитьIt was very helpful. Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video, very informative. I have the mini 1 and couldn't decide between the mini 2 and Air 2 for upgrade, but this has helped a lot, thanks 👍🏻
ОтветитьJust what I needed to hear
ОтветитьThe thing I hate about reviews like this, is that they not use the same image to compare quality. Had the air2 , now have the mini 2, like them both, but mini2 is the best drone to travel due to new regulations.
ОтветитьI'm gonna stick with the mini 2 it has a lot more value for the price and it can compare in almost every way to the air 2.
ОтветитьGreat video.
ОтветитьGreat video for my travel vlogs
ОтветитьHi friend do you think I need license to fly Mavic Air 2 in Wisconsin. I would to buy one but I don't know any about the law in Wisconsin.
ОтветитьThanks very informative and helpful...
ОтветитьWhy does a gvt become sooo restrictive and come up with arbitrary numbers? It’s a camera, let people live n create.. I guess if your rich you wouldn’t care but those who have to save to get the drone should have an issue with these dumb rules! If you need a drone for a business, you already have to have insurance... lol... people dont even care about the over reach.... “ it’s for safety eheheh” fkn stupid.. yes I spend a 1000 to crash and endanger people lol 😂 oh and my magic air 2 will be here we’d... can’t wait lol :)
Ответитьthank's for video!
Ответитьto summerize, my suggestion is:
if you will earn money from this, buy air 2. otherwise go for mini 2. mini 2 is more than enough.
i want the mm2 but i dont know if he can handel wind becuse i live in very windy area 20-15 kph every day
ОтветитьGreat video. You pointed out some good points for anyone wishing to buy a Mini 2 or an Air 2 👍
Ответитьdidnt even think about traveling and other countries restrictions...great point/video
ОтветитьNice review
ОтветитьGreat review, thank you
ОтветитьMan you make some great videos a lot of information keep up the great work this is a test these babies out
ОтветитьI own both drones and in Canada no issues with the Air2, but I can’t take it to the Phillipines, so that’s why I have the Mini2 as my travel companion.
Ответитьhave already the mini 2. Chould ie get the aire 2 just for traking mode hyperlaps obstacle avoidance for better video end photos end the asteroid mode. It's nessery to upgrade only for this option????
(Ie have the budget but dont now if ie chould ubrade I am lost 10 day dont now what too doo )
It's really funny that charging by USB-C is such a big point. I literally don't own anything that has a USB-C port. My car has both chargers because my wife has a newer phone which does have a USB-C port. I'm wondering why the physical plug has anything to do with being able to charge it from a powerbank. My powerbank, like most you can buy, has a USB-A plug and it makes no difference whether my wife with her USB-C device or me with my micro-USB device plugs into it - the powerbank simply provides the charge the device and cable is capable of (if it's a fairly new powerbank that supports all the charging standards).
Well, I never had a drone before but I did buy a regular mini recently for those few shots I can't do without a flying camera. We'll see how that goes long term but I doubt I'll invest in something a lot more expensive anytime soon. I go out and hike/camp a lot so the occasional aerial shot will improve the portfolio, but since I shoot for my own pleasure I don't need 4k (I literally have no display capable of displaying 4k, my TV is 15 years old - I don't watch TV so no 4k here). My smartphone is several generations old and that's just fine. I do have a good mirrorless camera with a set of lenses and accessories, but again, while it can do 4k at a medium frame rate I mostly do stills anyways.
Interesting videos, but the question is: do you need anything "top notch"? Most people will do photographs or short videos for their FB or Instagram feeds and nobody needs top notch for that kind of resolution. I think portability is a lot more important - there are many places out there where weight and size are an issue and I much rather be able to bring a camera AND a drone than either/or because I don't have enough room in that dry-bag or backpack.
I have Mavic air 1 and mini 2. I love the mini 2 and the mini 2 does really good in the wind. I don’t like flying in the wind but today it was guesting to 25mph it did great. Hope dji sticks with the mini series
Ответитьcan't LEGALLY take it with you. For those of us that are tired of over bearing laws we just ignore them.
ОтветитьWhich is better out of mini 2 and Mavic air?
ОтветитьGotcha! I need both of these! :P
ОтветитьI want the Mavic Air 2 in the Mini Air 2 size. Do you think it will be upgraded?
ОтветитьGreat overview of the 2 drones I have been considering. Watched many reviews and you did the best job in my opinion. I have also watched other content on your channel. Great job! Decided on the Mini 2.
ОтветитьDid you licence for that mini small drone?
ОтветитьHi. I would like to learn to fly drones from zero. Which is the right choice? Which has the less risky more pleasent learning experience. I would go for the Mini 2, but having all those sensors to avoid obstacles, the Air 2 is very attractive too!
ОтветитьIf the Mini 2 has evolved so much in one year... how good is the Mavic Air 3 is going to be? =)
(Or the Mini 3?)
There is rumors and some leaks that the up coming mini will have some more sensors and still have 4k quality. and controller may change but still have 10km.
ОтветитьThank you very much, I could make my choice (air 2).
ОтветитьI'm gonna get the mini 2 for travel, easy rechargeability, lightweight, etc., and wait for the Mavic Pro 3 for higher-grade work in my local area. Thanks for the comparison!! :)
ОтветитьI wanne buy a first drone but still doubting about these 2 wich one.
Mavic air 2 just for better photoquality and stronger motors
TQ.... very informative and it helps a lot in making decisions on which one to buy...
ОтветитьGreat video and detailed explanation of both drones, thank you. I really want the active track for trips planned in Morocco this year and just wish the Mini had that capability. The Mavic Air would do the job perfectly, but for the limited time I need the active track, the mini 2 seems the better choice for a traveller. That said, before pressing the button to buy the Mini 2, have you herd any news of possibly a new mini 3 or a software upgrade on the Mini 2 for active tracking for 2021?
ОтветитьJust wanted to say thank you. You answered a lot of questions.
ОтветитьThe best camera is the one always accessible, I will take mini 2
ОтветитьGreat review. Thanks 👍
Ответитьvery informative, thanks
ОтветитьDji mini 2 is particularly quite in cine mode so when taking off for the first like 50 meters you could do cine mode and then at 70 meters sport mode. Best way to not draw attention but to be flying fast quickly.
