yesss, ive been wanting a game like this since one of my favorite games in 2013 shut down 🥲.. it's a different game altogether but look up "Zombie Farm".. (instead of zombies ambushing you, you farm them yourself)

i know game development takes forever.. dont push yourself too hard, because you made so much progress in only a week. I'd say this was far from failure! seriously though, I've been wanting a game like this for a long time. i hate how games just shut down sometimes.

You should probably try using game maker studios 2. The coding is a lot easier (very similar to JavaScript) and has an easier learning curve. It can only do 2d.

I’m proud of you for trying! From someone who has tried to make a 2D game back in CIT, I’d personally say for me 3D games are easier. You honestly made it further than me when I made my first game. I didn’t lock one of the rotations, so every time the character would walk they’d just keep flipping

Den, it seems to be you need a team that specifically just for making that game tho. My personal suggestion is that maybe you can try to make the game in the category for mobile game so that your customer target segmentation can be as a lot as possible!

I am an indie game developer... why would you put yourself through that?, one advice, you will underestimate the time and effort that you need for your first game by A LOT, be ready to cut nine on every ten features, but hey you already have two very important things to succeed, artistic skills and a fanbase, having a fanbase for your projects is like half of the work. Also this is more like a marathon, not a speed race, you have to pace yourself, take rests and eat a lot of cookies, hey about the collisions, maybe you want to make them smaller than the sprites.
