I did the same but I added whole garlic and chopped cabbage as well which I found gave it a bit more “oomph”
I added cilantro at end for garnish but I just love cilantro lol!
I am very proud of how this turned out lol, it was fun to make and quite delicious too, family enjoyed it ❤❤❤
ОтветитьThis is close to how I've made chicken noodle soup for years, by dropping a whole chicken in the pot. Which I have one going now in the kitchen. Was starting to think not many did it this way, liked the idea of putting the veggies in somewhat whole then cutting up after cooked, I always cut them up raw then put in. This way would be easier for cutting up after being cooked, like this idea. Very good video, Thank You!
ОтветитьHomemade chicken soup recipe is good
ОтветитьThe best recipe you can find out there. I am still following it for years especially during flu season 🤧
ОтветитьWow fast, simple and yummy !!!
ОтветитьWhy not put the salt and pepper in before cooking? Also don't see the point in straining the liquid.
ОтветитьOnion?
ОтветитьI get better to hear you sweetie
ОтветитьCan you tell jane doe i sakd hope
ОтветитьOk so never peel your onions for broth/stock the skin has alot of flavor and gives your stock/broth a nice color. And its always 2/1 ratio with onions for your miripoix.also why no peppercorns bay leaf and garlic in there?
ОтветитьThis recipe comes from Mr. Bland.
Booooooooooo
Great recipe....Usually use thighs... Thankyou 👍
ОтветитьI make homemade sourdough bread to dip in chicken soup
ОтветитьNo
ОтветитьThat's cool! I was able to cook!
ОтветитьYes I’m never going back to the canned chicken soup, thanks
ОтветитьWhat about tomatoes? Will that make the soup even better? And potatoes?
ОтветитьAdd fresh garlic 🧄 with the veggies 🥕
ОтветитьThis is a great dish for lunch. Thanks for the recipe!
ОтветитьI made this soup several times and it was so delicious
ОтветитьI would add cilantro , garlic and potatoes ; with a side of avocado slices and soda crackers .
ОтветитьDelicious and easy! I liked it very much!
ОтветитьYou can also use rotisserie chicken from the grocery to save some time.
ОтветитьThanks for this easy recipe. It's cold n snowing in NYC. This soup is perfect for dinner tonight. ❄❄😋👍😇
ОтветитьI’ve always used a whole chicken for chicken soup but it never occurred to me to place the entire chicken in the pot 😅 I hate chopping raw chicken
ОтветитьThis isn't safe--chicken bones, even organic, have extremely high concentrations of Lead in them and the Lead will leech out into the broth.
ОтветитьQuick, simple, easy-peazy recipe that anyone can command! Perfect for today as THE ARCTIC BLAST is besiging Connecticut and Mass.
ОтветитьNo potato??😊
ОтветитьI'm just about making my chicken soup now
ОтветитьThis is not the way to make chicken soup. If you boil anything and then strain it, you have just poured out all of the nutrients. I guaranteee some of you have used this reciepe and notice that the veggies and chicken have very little flavour unless you season the soup again. This receipe is not bad just wash, peel, and cut veggies first. Then add the broth bring to a boil. Then add chicken and veggies.
ОтветитьI don’t reuse the original veggies as the flavor has been cooked out. Instead, I add newly chopped carrots, onion, celery and potato while the cooked chicken rests outside the pot. Cook the veggies until medium soft ( or to your preferred hardness), then return the chicken pieces to the soup. Also, sprinkle paprika for added flavor & color. Cook noodles separately so they don’t soak up the broth ( if you want chicken noodle soup).
ОтветитьThere’s no need to peel the onion.
ОтветитьIf y'all don't season that damn chicken.....😐
ОтветитьI can see why they used a whole chicken … all cooking at once. But a carcass of a chicken will provide the same. I’m assuming a full chicken would kick up the flavour. Thanks
Ответитьhow did the soupe become yellow
ОтветитьHomemade chicken soup tastes better than the store bought ones in a can because it’s too much sodium.
ОтветитьThis is the whites thing I've seen in awhile
ОтветитьOh no use fresh veggies the old ones gave it to the broth
Ответитьincredible. if you don't like any flavors.
ОтветитьBest and easiest I have seen. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьIt's a good base but no flavor.
ОтветитьAwesome video. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhy do you have to strain the broth?
ОтветитьThanks to show how we can make good n healthy soup
ОтветитьJust chop everything first then you don't have to deal with super hot veggies that need to be
ОтветитьMost people will use the chicken for a meal, picking the carcass clean for the soup. You can add all sorts of other things, including sweetcorn or just parsley. This is basically how we made chicken and chicken soup back in the 60s and 70s in Scotland. It also makes a good base for lentil and/or potato soup. It's a very basic chicken stock.
ОтветитьMiss you got to put more flavor in that I'm from the south we would not eat that soup with out real seasoning in it
ОтветитьThis recipe is so incredibly flavorless. Embarrassing.
