Bjj should implement more scoring for takedowns BJJ would be much better if they also focused on wrestling. As a state champion in wrestling ive walked in bjj gyms as a white belt and hung with black belts ect. They all get frustrated with wrestlers and just wanna scoot around on their butt because they know they will get slammed if they stand. Would be much better in self defense/ Mma transition if they also really worked on there wrestling more

people dont understand the context here.... it isnt just the art of sambo that is whats winning notice the only sambo guys who do well are from wrestling heavy countries the fighters wrestled since they were toddlers and transitioned to sambo later sambo tbh is a jack of trades art not to insult it but go train with sambo guys in the states or other countries youll notice a massive difference,

Obviously combat sambo basically is MMA, but sport sambo is kind of a judo/wrestling hybrid with no chokes and almost no ground work. Of course bjj wins out on ground.

Jiu Jitsu is very limited. In sports like Adcc, it's good. In street fighting, MMA, or in any form of realistic fighting, Sambo is preferred rightfully

Nobody would admit they are practicing a weaker art form, also outside of Arlovski who else is doing well in MMA that is Sambo? BJJ is still the most rounded grappling art.
