Brother SE600 Computerized Sewing and Embroidery Machine with 4" x 4" Embroidery Area

I have a brand new machine. Went to use it today and the LCD panel won’t do anything when I press buttons on it? Can I fix this, everything else is lit up, but won’t start, won’t do anything!

What are the actual dimensions of this machine? I keep getting the same answer online (21.18"L X 16.54"W X 15.51"H.) I feel like these are the dimensions of the box it comes in because that just seems huge! Is it really that big? Lol just looking at it in this video and others I've seen, I'm thinking there is no way it's almost as deep as my whole arm. Maybe I'm crazy!

I adore my SE600 sewing and embroidery machine. Glad I bought it. Hope it lasts too. My only complaint is not being able to find a cap hoop and repositional hoop that fits it just like SE400 had.

Do you have to have special computer software to create designs? I want to be able to create quilt labels that may have 3 to 4 lines of text and maybe a small item (like a heart or flower). Will I need to buy $150 software in order to do this with the Brother SE 600?

I'm a rookie with this machine but not with sewing. My grandmother taught me sewing, I was 12 with an old singer. Can I use the sewing machine as a regular machine with the embroidery attachment on or do I have to take it off?

Have you ever run into this issue where the last line is somewhat devoid of stitching? Example, if I stitch a solid circle with 1 color, it will start at the bottom, stitch its way up about 1/4 of the way and then suddenly jump to the very top of the circle and stitch down until it meets where it jumped from. that last line where it meets leaves this odd line that isn't really devoid of stitches, but is enough to make it appear as a line that shouldn't be there.. my only fix is to restitch that last line, but only after shifting the pattern down by 1 point on the machine. i don't think it's a skipped stitch, that's something that would be noticable throughout the entire circle at random spots. it's only when i encounter a jump in a solid and then it has to jump and fill in the rest (usually for donut shapes that have a solid fill). I'm using inkscape/inkstitch.

hi.. i have a few questions as a beginner..PLEASEEEEEE help me out if anyone does know the answer to it..
Question 1: what thread should i use?can i use normal sewing machine threads with SE600 to sew? or must i use embroidery threads even tho im using this machine just to sew? & if u could share a link on amazon maybe for the thread u recommend on this machine to SEW, and what bobbin do i use?

Question 2: i liked this machine bcoz i dont know anything about sewing machines(always have done it on hands) and everything seems easy on this with thread and tutorials..my question is, is this the best machine for sewing or would u rather recommend something else?
