Es gibt nur 2 Maxwellsche Gleichungen (die beiden letzten mit rot E und rot B), die beiden ersten sind Nebenbedingungen. Nabla steht nur für die Schreibweise im kartesischen Koordinatensystem. Da es weitere Koordinatensysteme gibt, wie das Zylinder - und Kugelkoordinatensystem, muss man diese Gleichungen auch in allgemeiner Form mit "rot" und "div" schreiben, wodurch die Aussagen der Gleichungen auch besser verständlich werden.

I have applied Maxwell's Equations to Hydrodynamics and an amphibious truck. Math deals with; Solid, Gas or liquid and now, PLASMA,(Carlson) How about vacuums (nothing is there) Iguana Dave

If I use Faraday's law to define the electric field in terms of the potencials, there appears a term that depends on the vector potencial in my new gauss's law.

The only way this doesn't happens is if I either don't use faradays law to define E or if I assume that div J =0.

But I cannot make Maxwell's change of J, because I need the gauss's law to put into the continuity equation and find the new definition of J, but am precisely trying to prove gauss's law 😭

It should always be the wedge product. It generalizes to any dimension and includes the orientation information in a plane normal to the surface
