Now that I’ve been received into the Church, I came back to this video. A few weeks before I started coming to an Orthodox Church I was watching these videos. This channel is one of the things instrumental in my conversion to Orthodoxy.

I agree with just about everything here. The only thing I struggle with is the prayer to saints. As well as guardian angels. But everything else I’m on board with. Anyone who is able to help explain would be much appreciated. Thank you God bless!

As someone who is considering conversion, I have a question: you mentioned that abortion is typically frowned upon… but is it considered okay if the mother or fetus’ life is in danger? Wouldn’t it be best to save the mother so she could have another, healthy baby? And wouldn’t it be sinful to make a baby suffer for a few hours before dying?

I know abortion rights are a hot topic at the moment, but please don’t think I’m attacking. I’m just genuinely curious.

I am a Christian of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo religion. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is an ancient church with a history of three thousand years. My heart finds rest by worshiping Lord Jesus in the Orthodox Church. I believe with all my heart that the Holy Church founded by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is Orthodox. If I had not lived in Orthodoxy, I would not have known the Holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. Our Lady, the Holy Virgin Mary, intercedes. May God be praised for his noble body and his holy blood.

In Austria and Bavaria there is something very similar to the Icon Corner, called the Herrgottswinkel or Lord's Corner. The centerpiece is a crucifix, instead of an icon, but apart from that it's almost the same. Although it has become pretty rare nowadays.

I am currently living in my university's dorm room and I have set up such a beautiful icons corner. I also have the Cross, an oil candle that I light whenever I pray and an incense little tray-like that goes above my candle so I can smokelessly light up the incense. Not to forget my paryer rope and my praying books, along with the akathists of my dearest Saints 😊

Love this channel. I have a question, I'm an Australian who was raised Protestant and have continued in the faith. All the Orthodox churches near me are of a particular nationality, i.e. Serbian, Greek, Coptic. I'd like to attend an Orthodox church, but I don't want to step on anyone's toes. Do you have any recommendations on which I should look into or how I should approach attending?

Through your video, I could see that we’re very similar, some differences still but the most important is that we’re one in Christ through baptism. I think God leads me to Orthodoxy. I didnt felt complete home in non-denominational church, still like to be there and in catholic churches also not, i cant get with the theology and terrible history, also there was never any community feeling and.... I thought its the right church for few months
But Orthodoxy actually fits complete with the theology God showed me.
Soon i want to attend a serbian orthodox church, is the only one near to my home. - sadly a german orthodox church dont exist.
I hope it will be good and hope also you people can pray for me
