Thar need to upgrade to 5 doors.
The company should improve the length to the length of a polero or bit less by inches could be better. Milage too need to improve by 2/3 points and the doors panel edge should be more smoother and natural to prevent any leakages

I saw that this car has 2 gears this is a very different car than other normal or hyper cars

There's no way this is a family car. Its a hobby possession for enthusiasts. The boot is a joke, Rear view cam n auto fuel flap should have been a must. Yet, am very intrigued. Wanna get this one :)

We are stuck in Manali from past two days after doing Spiti Trip with..our 4months old Mahindra Thar got towed due to some OBD Check Lamp warning..the car is not able to pull beyond 1500rpm. The Mahindra service center tried to reduce the soot mass for last 2 days and now they are saying ordering a DPF filter is going to take another 7-8days and we will have to wait for it. Also they are saying fault is with us as we didn't do Regen while we didn't get any Regen warning.
They are also saying they can't share the data now ,even after 2 days of analysis.
DPF filter costs 70k and doesn't come under warranty. Better to go for Force Gurkha or any other mid sized SUV

Can't wait for the new THAR to arrive in South Africa, this a hotly anticipated vehicle here.

Test drove the thar today..an absolute boy's toy.. loved it except for the steering which is vague & slow & rocking side to side movement when one drives at speed. The diesel engine is a hoot to drive though...love the power & torque.. probably buy one 5 years from now..when Mahindra had refined it further.

Great review! Two reasons why I will never buy a THAR.
1. No space near clutch for the foot to rest on long, out-of-town drives. That's stiff. That's unpardonable.
2. No doors for back seats. Folding the front seat and getting in is such a pain. And once seated behind, pretty claustrophobic.
3. No camera for parking.

A great car. In Only two things its lacking - Boot space and Goodies for rear seat like cup holders , charfing point , good handrest. THat makes less practical for family. Else AT and 4 X 4 diesel will be a great buy.

Very professional review. I drive a Terrano because of the mileage and the dicky space as i travel a lot with my family. It is a fact that it is not a offroader but it has never led me down. I am planning for a new car with little offroading ability. I really like the new thar. But i wish it is a little longer with a little more boot space.

Can reviewers stop passing judgement at least self-contradicting ones ? You state "it has an excuse for a boot space" and then title the video "A proper family car". Unless you are not living in India or smoking something potent "family" never means just 4 adults without any luggage.

I am sure the FLY 🐝 enjoyed the Thar as well. 🤪
