This was a lot more back and forth than I expected. My criticism after playing hundreds of public DS games is that the comeback mechanic is almost non existent and any that occur is almost entirely due to either team mates getting carried away gassing and making units that are countered or a player leaving, causing existing compositions to no longer work. A proper arranged team of Desert Strike is completely different. It's a shame that pub games are nothing like this.

this is goofy. never do players play 30 min and not gas, yet the rules of the tournament dictate different play. Ending a game abruptly like that is so bad, yet that is why they are not gassing more.

This was weirdly more fun to watch than actual SC2 matches.

I am having extreme difficulty trying to recall a single autobattler that requires unlocking lootboxes

Fun fact about the sc2 custom game community: It is very toxic. Good luck if you are trying a new custom because people will be straight up toxic assholes.

at about 1 hour and 30 minutes in is the best part so far. the music is just perfect, along with the changing/rotating cinematic camera view. this is what direct strike is all about. great job winter, hahaha this is awesome

Those BCs in game 2 seem to be used really well. Getting the nexus shooting the enemies was really smart.
It worked well until the BCs jumped behind the enemy army.

Direct strike will bring even the strongest computers to their proverbial knees come late game.

Game 2 was in the perfect spot to turn it and give the BCs the stalker treatment of keeping their DPS in play. But he threw em all away that woulda been legendary.

Desert Strike, Phantom Mode, Runling Run, Squadron TD, and Mafia were my go to custom games... tried getting back into DStrike but it's changed so much since Liberty that I got no clue what to do now lol

i have played a 1000 times on this mod, there is more meta than you think, you have to play around IA, pretty solid mod, i love it

If you guys are interested in the sc universe, and moba style games like LoL and Dota, go on the sc2 arcade and give aeon of storms a go. Really good community and quality graphics, with like 70+ heroes and a competitive scene with leagues and tournaments
