I was close friends with the drummers aunt. She talked about him alot.

Regardless what the meaning of the song really is. In my own mind what this song is saying to me. When I lost my grandfather January 2020 I went through a lot of grieving and hell. I mean I went through it to the tune of $7000 in medical bills because of anxiety and panic attacks. My wife was trying anything and everything to calm me down and that’s when the counselors, doctors and nurses were saying. Just let him let it out, let him vent, just let him cry. He’s lost someone that actually meant everything to him. From what he is saying, he has lost the person that made him who he is. In his words his grandfather was his world. Just let him cry but stay by his side. Then in front of the counselors, doctors and nurses that’s when she said to me I will never leave your side you and I will get through this together. That’s when I completely fell apart
