Diocletian and the Tetrarchy (284 - 305)

I'm preparing an exam on Roman History and your videos are really useful

So I suppose it is reasonable to say that Diocletian's reforms were successful in bringing the end of the crisis.
However, this video doesn't specify which of his policies had a hand in doing that. It seems he was successful in dividing the adminitration of the empire, but were his economic reforms successful? Did they relatively improve the livelihood of citizens of the empire? What should we make of his legacy?

I should note, the name Chlorus was never applied to Constantius during his lifetime. I'm not actually sure why he's called that.

Incidentally, the name "Chlorus" just means "green" in Greek, so if you wanted to call him "Connie Green," you totally could. It wouldn't be inaccurate.

Imo I dont like diocletian - Christian purges are 1 thing, but I am not a big fan of the Tetrarchy. That caused too much chaos and also the edict on Maximum Prices is Mugabe leelss of stupid

Man, I know we need to make history interesting but I hate when I find a really good video that has swearing in it, because I can't use it for my elementary students. Their parents would flip out, and every session is recorded.
