15 DIFFERENCES between Prehistoric Kingdom and Jurassic World Evolution 2

It is a gooood time to be a dinosaur fan! I will be playing both games on the channel :)

Both are awesome, where one lacks this and that the other excels, still, I say if you can, get both. I just bought prehistoric Kingdom recently, already have 10 hours or so in it. I just wish they had allosaurus LOL.

you cant compete with the free build, nigel marvin, scientific accuracy and a steam workshop in my opinion.

So like PK is like planet zoo with dinosaurs, witch I love while JWE2 more casual and more like what you imagine the movies would be like as a management sim. I adore both I just cannot wait until PK gets finnished

I really hope prehistoric kingdom gets a console release

I have both games including planet zoo

One of the differences is that i can only run jwe2 lmfao

While it is true that the dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2 are forced to stick with how the movies portrayed them, it is a safe bet to say that for most people, the JP designs are how they imagined dinos looking. No matter how scientifically accurate lips on T. rex may be, I don't think it's something that I'll ever get used to seeing. And that's only the tip of the iceberg as far as looks. Dinos could have had any number of fleshy or cartilage features that wouldn't have been fossilized and are missing from Prehistoric Kingdom. Soooooo..... I'll take my lipless T. rex. :)

I have to disagree. I really liked your video but prehistoric kingdom blows JWE2 out of the water and after playing planet zoo Prehistoric kingdom is exactly what I was expecting when I purchased JWE2 considering Planet Zoo is Frontiers biggest hit. To say I was disappointed is more than accurate.

Now I’m a JWE2 person, not that I hate PK, I love PK! But I feel like JWE2 has a lot of missing opportunities to make the game feel better. The only thing that would work for me is more terrain tools similar to PK because we have so many park customization but not terrain customization and I feel it’s a bit unbalanced between the two.

I only paid £15 on my XBox for jwe2 coz it was on sale, I paid £40 for the first one tho

I like to think of Prehistoric Kingdom more like planet zoo with more of a guest park vibe.

evo , to be honest , for fans that like to biuld a realeastic movie recreation , they can do it in prehistoric kingdom , but for jwe 2 is like less things to us , but i do respect your opinion

For me its JWE2 by a long shot. Despite its flaws, I find it far more entertaining. The problem with PK is the same issue as with Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster where you literally have to design everything yourself. Initally the idea of being able to design every little detail excited me, but I quickly realized that as an adult and a father of young kids, I dont have anywhere near the time or patience to spend an hour just designing my main entrance. I'de rather just jump straight to the fun parts and skip the overwhelming design possibilities. It would be better if they had lots of premade fabrications with the ability to customize them as opposed to literally being forced to design everything yourself unless you want totally bland.

I have both, depending on my mood I play one or the other

I can understand that one is not better than another but a game featuring Jurassic movie dinosaurs, plus it was free for PS+ user's (like myself) it's a no brainer that you must own JPE 2.

In my opinion I enjoy prehistoric Kingdom more then jurassic but I have not played jurassic but I think you can like both games for different reasons 😊

I was ready to get prehistoric kindom, had it all planned out. Then i found it was PC exclusive

prehistoric kingdom will follow planet zoo style, with pack 3-6 months pack dlc . and mode community and community style approach will be chosen by us the planet zoo commoner.

I thing prehistoric Kingdom is the more interactive game, but lacks the species to keep up with jurassic world evolution.

my favorite part about pk is the tree brushes. I like not having to place every plant and tree (COUGH COUGH planet zoo COUGH COUGH) while also having a modular building system unlike jwe

They both look like great games. I’ll be honest I absolutely love dinosaur zoo building games. I was obsessed with the old Jurassic Park in the early 2000s and also zoo tycoon in the ultimate collection which had dinosaurs and marine animals as well.

I haven’t played video games like this in a really long time but I play planet zoo a lot. I’m OK if there is no dinosaur fights, I actually wanted a game that I can play with my daughter who also absolutely loves dinosaurs.

I almost want to get both of them now. 😂 but prehistoric kingdom I think I’m going with.

They both have different feels to them. PK its more like Plant Zoo, so there's a bigger focus on pure customization and park management. There's also the plus of more scientifically accurate dinosaurs. The only thing holding it back currently is that the game is still in early access and is lacking the content of a full released game. 

JWE2 doubles down heavily on the pre-establish universe, which is awesome in its own right. It trades in some of the realism, customization and park sim aspects for sheer immersion. I love walking around in first person or driving the famous Jeeps from the films. And setting the JP style raptors loose in the park never gets old.

Both are 100% worth playing. The experience is different enough to give both a try.

What should I go for If I like managing a park and care less for making it pretty?

I mostly play prehistoric kingdom on my windows my personal favorite computer lol i’m currently making a giant DILOPHOSAURUS exhibit

Thanks for the comparison. I switched to PK strictly because of the editing tools not only for creating terrain/landscape, but also edit/moving already laid down objects. If only JWE2 had this functionality. I would stick with JWE2. I do like the fact that JWE2 has a lot more prefabs. However, PK does have a steam workshop full of prefabs. So, you can have the best of both worlds in PK. Because honestly. Sometimes I don't want to do modular, but I wish JWE2 had more modular. JWE2 just looks better. But PK has more realistic looking dino's based on what is factuality known at this point in time. I really am not interested in re-creating Jurassic Park movie. Juts nice looking dino parks.

So planet zoo is the same thing planet zoo prehistoric kingdom is fun teal same with Jurassic World evolution two and planet zoo so that means all the games are for both PS4 Xbox PS five so that means that this game can also be for those devices Evo
