I think ZS80 is pretty much Lumix LX7 but with more modern techs.
ОтветитьIt's wild. I still don't think anything beats a vx981 camcorder
Ответитьyou mentioned stabilisation, i'm no expert but I did encounter the need for solution, I got hold of a remote controlled motorised base for a tripod, i can get an accurate distance shot at 500x, I found an interesting feature in the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H400 63x optical which isn't listed on stats, it takes a 500x equivalent photo shot, on the vga setting and must have some touch up software, the shots I got on a hot day with optical interferance were crisp clean, amazing, I only paid around the 50ish cost for it.
ОтветитьI'll with Canon sx70 hs...you can say,it the most perfect among all it..
ОтветитьHave you thought of fuji finepix S1 ?
ОтветитьMy Canon SX70 is unbelievable in decent light, and the 52x optical is phenomenal. It rivals my A6600 in almost EVERY way, and shoots video just as well. It falls apart below ISO of 400.
ОтветитьOkay which one is the best for hunting ufos? 😂
Ответитьnice channel, when the most of other channels are all about the latest and greatest, feels good to see a channel that centers in other aspects
ОтветитьFor superzoom cameras I use the Sony DSC-H20, which is a small little SLR-style super-zoom pocket friendly camera. Yeah it's old, it's from 2009 and only shoots 720/30p and doesn't have a very wide angle nor great autofocus, but it zooms out to 380mm equiv. and has image stabilization! (Albeit not very effective, but better than nothing)
I also have a DSC-W730 which is also a pocket-size superzoom. Zooms out to 200mm something. Again, only 720p video and autofocus isn't great. But the image stabilization on it is incredible!!! It gives smartphones a run for their money as far as stabilization goes.
Last mention is a Sony DSC-T100. Came out in 2007. Tiny pocket camera with a sliding lens cover. It's also got surprisingly good IS and you can optically zoom while recording video, which at the time was uncommon for point n' shoot cameras. Again, autofocus isn't great, it only shoots VGA (480p), and low light sensitivity is pretty poor.
Sadly nikon stopped making cheaper b700 bridge cameras
ОтветитьSometimes I like compact over bridge cameras as compact cameras are more convenient to Carry around as they are generally 1 third the weight of a bridge camera and you can still get pretty good results from them but my pet
Hate for cameras are these tiny action cameras that weigh the same as a small chocolate bar Because to me they weren't made for the average person but for the adrenaline junkie who likes to record their attempt at climbing some rock face in the middle of nowhere and use those kind of cameras because of a weight factor but I suppose it's really a
Case of everyone to their own thing when it comes to camera types and uses
Mark someone used a Nikon P1000 or the older model to filmed the space station going around the moon. I think he filmed at 60 frames a second to capture it. I think the one this kid used was the one with the lens that goes out to 2000m.
ОтветитьI'm going to be using my bridge camera for a while. I dislocated my shoulder. I forgot the model I have but its the Panasonic that on full frame is 20-1200. Good thing I dislocated my left shoulder because if it was my right shoulder I be screwed. LOL. They don't make left handed cameras.
There is a video of a guy that took a Olympus PEN camera and used a very small tripod and rapped a trigger around it so he could take photos with one hand. Might be the best left handed camera?
Another amazing video! Which of the above would you recommend for recreational sports recording? After watching other camcorder videos I'm almost sure to go for Your favourite VX981 ;) Cheers and keep up the amazing work!! :D Karo
Ответитьwent and saw gnr w/ axl and slash, last row nosebleeds, no detached lens allowed in venue. Used a sony 1/2.3 “superzoom” and got some great footage. These cams have their roles
Ответитьi would like to know to maximum duration for video recording for those camera. I think some have like 30mins max duration
ОтветитьI loooove your enthusiasm for these small (and some, really affordable) cameras. Of course, we can tell that you have the means to purchase any camera available, no matter the price! All of these make me feel so much confident about keeping and using my older bridge cameras and smaller photo cameras. (I keep a Canon SX60HS, which I would like upgrade the SX70, hopefully soon, before they stop selling them new). I also keep a Sony RX100vii, a little, very customizable camera.
ОтветитьWasn't interested in camcorders until I saw this. Renewed my interest.
ОтветитьDoesn't panasonic have any newer camcoder. That vx981 is 8years old
ОтветитьThe Fz300 got me started with Lumix . It's very sturdy and weather/ dust sealed. I would ride bike trails with it worn cross body ..always ready to go and without worry.
ОтветитьMy favorite tiny camera of all time is the Sony HX-80. Pop-up viewfinder, tilt screen, 750 mm Zoom, 1/2.3-inch / 18.2MP. Came with a tiny tripod that also acts as a handle with remote buttons. The hard case was an option that fits the camera and tripod.
ОтветитьMarkus, I thoroughly enjoy all of your videos. However, as a professional photographer/videographer, I've encountered a consistent issue with my Sony camcorders over the years. None of my Sony devices have remained operational; they've all malfunctioned. On the other hand, my (old) Panasonic equipment is still functioning flawlessly, requiring no servicing whatsoever. While my beloved Canon cameras are still in good working condition, the costs of servicing (due to accidental drops of lenses or bodies) have been substantial. Nevertheless, my Canon gear has proven resilient to my demanding professional use and has never failed me on a job.
My Nikons served as reliable workhorses, though they did require servicing after a beach shoot. With over 20 years of using Sony products, I'm left with some hesitation about investing in their professional equipment. There are many factors to consider. My question is: Is Sony's professional equipment more consistent and user-proof for professionals nowadays for longer periods of time?
Panasonic Lumix ZS80 has and updated model 4 years ago to TZ95/96 that on video with digital arrive to 2096 mm and with digital to 4400 mm .. the biggest zoom on video, that is not the same as on photo .. 1440 mm for a pocket camera. I bought 2nd hand 5 month ago .. for 200 bugs, wifi, BT, remote control ...software is not nice
ОтветитьThank you for doing the reviews. I wasn't in the market for camcorders, but I got the Sony CX-405 based on this video. I absolutely love it!😊
ОтветитьHow do you keep track of all the footage you have recorded I'm sure you have mixed them up in the past
Ответитьyou have a sweet collection dude
ОтветитьUżytkowałem RX10 M3, RX100M3 i były świetne. Teraz za doradą syna używam Canon RP z 24-105.
ОтветитьThere is also Kodak AZ1000 :)
ОтветитьWhich would be the best for capturing UFOs?
ОтветитьPlease suggest. me a camera either DSLR or point and shoot........for nature and bird photography under 600 or 700 $ (50 to 60 000 rupees Indian)......❤❤
ОтветитьI have a Nikon P1000 and a Lumix ZS80. Perfect fit for me. I am almost 100% a still shooter, so I pay little attention to the videos. With the Nikon I can get really close to wildlife, see the eye color and pupil details of a bird 80 ft away. This past year I got hundreds of shots of a bald eagle pair from the closest legal viewpoint about 250 feet away and across the river from the nest. Hatchlings. Everything.
And the Lumix--fits in my pocket... perfect carry around camera.
My P510 is from 2012.
Just got a D70, thinking about a D90 now.
Used a Bolex 160 super8 in film school, bought my FM2 in 82.
Thank you, great job as always.
Are your wife always that foxy?
ОтветитьHi Markus, is that middile-aged-bragging-one-inch-bridge-camera-UK-guy-appeared-in-the-last-minute is Techmoan?
ОтветитьI'm going to Mardi Gras in a couple of weeks.
I don't want to take my big A7iv (big and heavy) even though it takes amazing photos.
What compact camera with some zoom and good low light capabilities would you take?
I have a P1000 along with my D750 and D850. I can’t believe how much I have used the P1000 and the pictures I have gotten with it that I couldn’t get with my DSLRs. I have taking some amazing shots with it.
ОтветитьIt's nice seeing some content covering bridge cameras. I use a Fuji FinePix S1 that I picked up a few years ago for less than $200. It has 1200mm lens (50x optical), with really good IBIS. I refer to it as an image-stabilized pocket telescope. I've used it for astrophotography. It'll easily image craters on the Moon. I've also picked up Jupiter's moons with it too. In the hand it feels like a smaller sized DSLR. It has a nice smooth zoom, although it's prone to focus hunting. For video it'll do 1080p at 60FPS. It has a few higher framerate modes too. All video modes have a max 15 minute record time, though. There's lots of options in the menu, and you also get that Fuji Chrome color science!
ОтветитьI am not into Camcorders but those pocket cameras interest me
ОтветитьThere's a bird photographer on yt using the P1000 (Nikon). His closeups are great. Uses tripod and external mike. Colour is not so realistic -- oversaturated and too contrasty. Videos still look great. Knut ... I'll try and find him ...
ОтветитьOutro giveaway was hilarious... give it away, he he he
ОтветитьMarkus please can i use sony cx580 for music video? Am from Ghana
ОтветитьThe Lumix FZ 300 does look great! It's not badly priced. Like I mentioned in my earlier comment. I am going to get one more Sony CX 405, because it is a good camcorder and I like to cover events with a multi camera shoot with the same kind of camera so that the images match from the different angles. So, it wouldn't hurt to put an extra hundred dollars on the Lumix FZ300 for those photo and specific video shoots and projects of such. Markus, the Panasonic VX 981 was the camcorder that you did "Spy Girl," and the cooking shows with, right? I like the small size of it. It's so compact making it a great travel camera and video projects. It has a very good image quality and simple handling. Markus, with the cell phone revolution seemingly coming, what will you have to post? Camcorders and Bridge cameras has to be returned on the store shelves because we want them and we buy them!
ОтветитьGreat info again thanks
ОтветитьI love the FZ300, I think it's pretty underrated. Glad to see it getting some love here.
ОтветитьI have the p1000 !!! It's not as heavy as he claims!!! Go to the gym!!!
ОтветитьTake that BIG Nikon outside and point it at Jupiter. Im sure You will be amazed
Ответить
