Plexiglas for railing to see through.

You could do steps on both sides and put the water feature in front. Instead of railing on that front part, put a low, bench seating area across the front. That would keep young uns out of the water but give you a nice place to enjoy it too. Maybe built in flower planters on either end to join the side steps / handrails? Another option.

I think you should do front steps so it looks like a grand entrance. Railings on the side and up all the way around the deck. I would keep the railings all wood. I know that’s expensive but the wood with the metal will look beautiful. And when you have kids you can run a gate at the top of the stairs for safety. That’s my opinion. I can visualize it!

Not wood. Too "heavy" looking and more upkeep. Wrought iron, simple design or I like the wire thing.
For steps, platform steps are nice. That would be a step that is wider than the normal step. Also, decrease the incline. It's easier to carry stuff in and as you have, well it's a LOT easier. Especially if you might convert to an Air B & B. Your visitors will love you. PS I'm old, voice of experience🤭😉

Was excited to see your BAM Fest shirts. We have a yearly BAM Fest here in Hubbardston, MA. Ours is a scholarship Festival to raise money for Brittany Alice Murch scholarship fund. Brittany was my granddaughter who lost her life in an auto accident when she was seventeen. She was heading to UCONN after her graduation as a Biology major.. BAM fest celebrates her life and the scholarship aids other teens hoping to study Biology. Best of luck with your BAM fest. I sure it will be a big success.

For safety reasons with little ones, I would do hog panels spray painted black with posts. Stay safe ❤

I would do hand reals in case somebody comes to visit you and don't have good balance going up the stairs you should go with front stairs they're easier in Denver going around your whole deck is smart Jason just take your time you and Danielle are just two people trying to do a lot of work one project at a time

I think steps all the way around would be over kill & take away from the beauty of the bin. Just steps down the front & then can still put your railing which would look great & set it all off.

Using the muzata cables will look great - just install - mimicking the porch structure - 6x6 corner posts - and between them you will only need 1 maybe 2 relief posts to prevent sag of the wire, leaving the rest 100% visible if you don't do a top rail. I believe it will create a picture frame type visual of the grain bin. You could reduce those down to 4x4's, but the 6x6's would pronounce the image more. Use "eventbrite", they have a free level, or the paid levels for what you are doing is very inexpensive.

Love the idea of matching outside fence which is gorgeous, also put gates on your steps when the kids come. You just have to look up and see the grain bin..build rails lol

Holy shit my brain is always be prepared of worst case scenario, cuz by the time the kids are starting get out of WATCH YOUR HEAD you start to have parties with friends that are in your CAVE. Wrought iron would look great for fasteners, along with stained wood for posts and railing. There. Problem solved..😊 Love ya'll ❤️

Black steel railings (like your fence) with natural gray steel colored cable horizontally. Just an idea. Im sure whatever yall decide will look great.

You could do acrylic rails and acrylic plexiglass around the porch

If you make the steps wide enough u could set flower pots on the side of each step.

Several years back we had one of several chickens that would go under the house near the porch where it was cool. After a few weeks we looked under the house and found where she had been laying her eggs. So if you want to be able to keep your eggs for food, you might have to skirt the deck. Good Luck.

Use the wire system . In my years as an inspector I have seen all different types. The one that does not interfere with the view the most is the wire. Just sayin…

Maybe those garden beds as rails ? Ramp on one side and steps on the other side and steps in front?

Our back dweck has steps all the way around with wide shallow steps. Our grandchildren learned to scoot down backwards. If you wanted to have something to help littles/seniors go up and down, you could attach a railing to the grain bin and they could go up and down on the sides. I'd save the flower beds for around trees or sides of grain bin. And, of course hanging baskets from that beautiful front porch!

You can do rails in the center of the steps...
