Is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Worth it?

The Monty grind is named after Monty Nolder, a deaf skater from Florida back in the 80s more or less credited with coming up with the backside smith. I think Grosso did a loveletter on it actually. The name predates the games by a pretty wide margin.

its definetly a good game.. way better than 5, it is mostly a little too easy.. but has some very frustrating challenges to keep u going lol

personally i really enjoy the new game, wasn't around to play the original but it's fun. i had got it after i got really into actual skateboarding so it made me love skating even more. the online is kind of dead though

I havent played Tony Hawk since part 2 on Sega Dreamcast.I loved it back then .I was browsing Steam christmas sales and saw this for 20 dollars for both 1 and 2 remake together and had too grab it and it still is as fun once you relearn the moves from way back when.Even kept all the music from the ogs and added more skaters to choose from.Highly recommended if you loved this series back in the day.

Ps4 online in december 2023 doesn't work anymore still 😢

I’ve recently re-downloaded this but only the tutorial and free skate options are there? Anyone else had this issue?

This game irritated me like no other. I almost 100% this game three times but then the game would freeze. Especially when I would play online.

Its definitely worth it cause theres nothing like it or remotely close to it

If a young man in his 20s criticizes this game, I don't pay attention because they come from the COD generation onwards.

I dont know why but the create a skater options makes me kinda cringe abit. I like making crazy wacky characters, but all the options in game mostly just make you look like an edgy teen who vapes in their school bathroom or a 30 year old trying to live their high school years again. Just think that having strictly realistic cosmetics seems more fitting for the vibe of skate games, rather than tony hawk. Not to mention the fact that its all just advertising for real clothing brands (what skater cares that much about brands?)
But considering one of my biggest complaints is the fact that the clothing is too serious, should say something about the quality of the game.

Havent played the game in probably almost 2 years at this point, but CAP feels like a fever dream looking back on it. Man those levels where just eye sores lol

Grew up on THPS1 and wanted to love this but.. ehh. It plays alright but lacks all of the personality from the first game. Got kind of bored within like 10 minutes.

But can you do an epic hippie jump?

fuck activision. they broke the online a year ago and it only works for a small % of the player base. I haven't been able to play online since september 2022.

Using your hot spot do work but it’s still annoying i shouldn’t have to do that to enjoy one of my favorite games its annoying

Never played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 might have to give it a try.

I couldn't get back into it. Skate 3 is what I feel is the pinnacle of amazing skateboard gameplay so being exposed to that game sort of ruined the experience of Pro Skater.

What happened to online on this game

I definitely thought they were going to capitalize on the online aspect of this game. Especially after knowing how popular THUGPRO has been, they really could've had something great...😢

If you go to college on create a park, you can grind where the grass ends and it throws you out of the map, I think same with Moscow and like others. You just gotta look for the end of the grass! Oh yeah airport is cool, try it there. 🤙🏼

Dude have you looked up the New Jersey remakes on create a park? Fr dude look up college on the search and different thug levels. That’d be a fun video to watch! Show the people these crazy create a parks! :D

Back when this game actually worked online I preferred playing competitive because of the fact that time limit didn’t end while you were mid combo unfortunately, on Xbox one competitive died within a few months of the game being out

Yes if youre looking for a fun singleplayer experience thats faithful to the originals. No if youre looking for more of a THUG Pro kind of game
