My key set has a small light, and pen on them already but the two tools i use all the time are my pocket knife and a streqmlight flashlight. As an otr truck driver these are used all the time.
ОтветитьHave to have a flashlight -with battery not chargeable. Getting out of a building with dark stairwells, dark grocery store, subway, airplane no lights. Multi tool would depend on job,& what would get me home. One hand blade good, scissors always good if possible, tools, saw, again depend on job & what needed to get home. For me from town if car unavailable a saw likely necessary due to woods traveled. Needed For fire on long trip, or to clear small branches. Hopefully few other things carried all time in a pocket. These two items necessary for man, woman, even children if legal. Certainly the flashlight. Maybe the Swiss army nail card could be legal? for school. Earthquake, widespread power outage, Work, get out of dark, and maybe help to get home. Always on person even when you goto toilet. Good video, makes you think
ОтветитьEasy flashlight and multi tool. Leatherman over SAK because of the pliers.
ОтветитьFrom what you have on the table, I'd pick the light and the victorinox Compact + all the other stuff power bank, something with small pliers, a lighter even if I don't smoke, a tiny spray bottle with some perfume it's always good if I forget to use it when I leave and I should include a micro sewing kit as you did, it's a good idea!
I actually modified a Super Tinker to be bladeless, took out the knives layer and the awl, much better for urban EDC! But I have a classic swisscard with the little knife, that swisscard sits perfect in the small 5th pocket!
As a Tradesman my edc is minimal . Flashlight and a folder . I carry a full loadout of tools so multitools are redundant for my needs .
ОтветитьGreat question/challenge!
For me it my custom SAK: large blade, compact multi tool, scissors, Philips head, magnifying glass, corkscrew with ferro rod, awl, toothpick, tweezers and pen.
I put it together myself so it’s very personal.
If I didn’t have that it would be a Compact - no question.
2nd item - streamlight microstream usb which I’m looking to replace with a aa/aaa light.
Powerbank is a great choice. I carry a rolling square incharge x on my keys so cheating a bit haha and there’s plenty of places with USB ports these days.
- Victorinox Manager (the pen and the nailfile are easier to use than the ones on the Compact)
- Olight i1R2 EOS
Both keychain sized so no pouch needed. Minimalism is key for me in the city.
I picked Leatherman and flashlight / torch. I need a one hand open blade for selfdefense purposes (it's legal where I live in Virginia, US). One time I was riding my mountain bike, stopped at a STOP sign, and someone's pitbull (dog) got loose and charged at me. I sat there and stayed still, and thankfully the dog ran up to me and sat there for a few seconds, stopped barking, then ran home. But if it latched onto my arm, I need the ability to use one hand to grab a tool to "inspire" the dog to let go. So many people are comfortably complacent until a shizz hits the fan, then you will kick yourself for not preparing beforehand. 🤷♂️ To each their own. I EDC primarily for self defense FIRST as priority, then secondarily for convenience of fixing problems that arise in day to day life. I suggest everyone does the same, within the laws of where you live, of course. Always have a selfdefense driven mindset.
ОтветитьLeatherman surge with bit kit, driver extension and ratchet driver and flashlight.
ОтветитьA flashlight and small multitool (eg Victorinox Compact)
ОтветитьAs much as I hate to leave my SAK off the list, I would go with the large multitool and flashlight pair. My 3 most used items are my knife blade, my pliers, and my flashlight. This pair is the only way I see to cover my needs. (Phone flashlight is, at best, a subpar backup to my backup.)
ОтветитьI would choose my modified spartan sak and my O light baton 3.
ОтветитьFlashlight and Victorinox of some kind.
ОтветитьFor me it'd have to be a flashlight and a multitool along the lines of a Leatherman rather than a SAK
ОтветитьTEMPO 3C-150 0.7mm 3 color 12cm ballpoint pen and Gerber Armbar Driver
ОтветитьSAK Bantam and Sakura Craft Lab 004.
ОтветитьI think I would go with a small flashlight and my SAK Handyman, a bit bulky but would have everything I need because it has plus scales so I get an ink pen and I have a needle and thread stashed inside.
I think many would agree that picking and sticking with a two item limit would be maddening at first. Great question to ponder. I think I will stick to my regular edc. 😊
The larger SAK and flashlight hands down. These two have served me well for decades, while a need a Leatherman multi tool only occasionally and have never had the need for a pry bar.
Ответитьflashlight Cyansky K3 and fixed blade Kabar Large TDI if were gonna go with sheeple parameters...i go with what i cant borrow, beg or steal easily that is good enough locally...most flashlights that regular people carry or you can buy are crap, same with fixed blades: even a trash multitool you find at walmart can work, i dont do folders except as utility...mt comment applies
ОтветитьFor me it would be a slightly customized Victorinox Trailmaster (the older one, without the serrated edge) and a Wuben L50 or Nitecore EDC33 as a flashlight.
ОтветитьI go with a SAK camper and the olight torch. Also a small Bic and a small fox whistle on a dummy cord in my pocket on my dominant side.
ОтветитьFor a heavier loadout i would run with a Leatherman Rebar & an Olight baton 3 pro max. But for a lighter EDC i would take along an Olight Otacle K1 ( keychain multitool) & a smaller flashlight like the Sofirn SP10 pro. Depends on the weather & my planned tasks for the day.
ОтветитьKindle and knife
ОтветитьFlashlight and SAK pioneer.
ОтветитьSAK CyberTool L and OLight Baton 3 Pro. Both are awesome and hard to beat 👍
Ответить1).. victorinox ranger.
2)
14 inch ,ovalised, tool steel gorilla bar with the middle 9 inches of the gorilla bar wrapped in bicycle inner tube.
I'm gonna go a 91mm SAK, maybe an explorer and a small torch like the rovyvon a5.
Cheers 🍻
Leatherman super tool and budnotwiser im different
ОтветитьRambler and Knipex if you allow me to bring my Iphone. Rambler and flashlight if phone not allowed.
ОтветитьJust two? Flashlight and Explorer model SAK. It’s not too huge and I use the scissors and magnifying glass a lot. Plus I replaced the toothpick with a tiny ferro rod and have tinder wound in the corkscrew.
ОтветитьI’d say a SAK & a flashlight if that’s all I could carry..probably the Climber & Thrunite Archer Pro v2..great video, Thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьMine is Leatherman Wave and a Olight I3T 2 EOS….. That’s what I carry when I’m going lightweight now….
ОтветитьI would have to say a flashlight and a small multitool. The reason why I would pick those two is they are the hardest to acquire in a urban environment. A multitool what ever one you pick should have a knife for all your cutting needs as well as small fixes pilers, scissors and some sort of other tools it might have. The light is something you cant just repercussed and becomes invaluable a lot of the times its needed. If I was to chose something else not really a tool it would be cash.
ОтветитьKnife and multitool properly a rebar
ОтветитьVictorinox compact and microstream usb coyote
ОтветитьSwiss Champ and Spyderco Native LW. There is a keychain flashlight on my key ring. :-P
Ответить1. Cybertool Lite (Great 91mm Victorinox and it covers my pen and flashlight needs)
2. I’d ordinarily say CCW, but that’s probably not what is meant here. I’ll say either the 4 or 5” Knipex cobra pliers. Both have served me well, and make up for any shortcomings on the SAK mini pliers.
Leatherman and the flashlight
