E.D.C. Not in Britain
ОтветитьI go back and forth between the Farmer and the Hiker. Good mix of tools that will handle 95% of urban EDC duties, and serve equally well on outdoors adventures, with no unnecessary bulk. As far as I'm concerned, once a SAK is too big to comfortably fit in ones pocket it has jumped the shark... you may as well be packing a Leatherman or a fixed blade.
ОтветитьMy favorites are the Compact for EDC and the Spirit (and maybe the Trailmaster) for the bug out bag. When i use my bike i already have pliers and a bike multitool for bike repairs plus the Compact in my pants so i skip the Spirit and add a Farmer (or the Trailmaster) for the saw and a bit more robust blade as backup.
ОтветитьI cant believe the 1897 replica cost 500 dollars wow!!!!! First i have seen it I'm a bit shocked
ОтветитьYou forgot to show the wood saw on the swiss army 7. You did mentioned it, but did not show it
ОтветитьExcelentes todas las navajas, yo tengo esa Swiss Card, me encantaría tener todos esos modelos..!! Excelente video..!!
ОтветитьYou can press the Victorinox Logo on the Ranger to unlock it ;)
ОтветитьNote that the replica knife has a true corkscrew, not a gimlet, which is a spiral wound 'wire'. Unfortunately, the corkscrew is an inherently inferior design to the gimlet, which is less likely to break an old cork and pull out, resulting in a situation that can be difficult and even embarrassing to resolve.
ОтветитьThis is the Victorinox Evoke Pro Allox , not the Hunter Pro that has a rather prominent "eye hole" on the blade for one hand opening....
ОтветитьVery informative and no fluff or people in the shots. I like them all.. I may get that smaller one with the light and pen, that’s pretty neat. I EDC a 1995 Leatherman Tool so I’m spoiled already.
ОтветитьSwiss card nailcare is a new and better option as complies with travel regulations not having a fixed blade knife.
ОтветитьUnfortunately two of these are illegal as edc in the UK
ОтветитьThe UK cant get any of the bigger knives you showed as the blades are over 3 inches and they lock which are illegal to carry.
Ответитьi use the elox, but a thin version .. big blade, pruining blade and a punch on the back .. my go to electrition blade for 25 years+
ОтветитьOnce I found a classic sd on the side of the road. It became my companion for years. And then one day it got lost. So I wanted to buy another one. I looked on all models and bought a Rambler, which are not for sale anymore as far as I know. It's a classic but with a Philips screwdriver and a bottle cap opener. I love it! It's with me every day for over 20 years. Recently I thought about replacing it with the aluminum mini champ. But it doesn't add anything useful for me and I would miss the toothpick and tweezers. So Rambler it is.
ОтветитьOne thing I've learned about knives is if it doesn't say the blade steel on the blade unless it's high end it's probably garbage.
ОтветитьI really hate their limited editions. The prices are just absolutely ridiculous for what you’re getting.
ОтветитьDid you not know that on the Ranger Grip 55 to unlock the main blade all you do is push the shield logo?? Holy shit man?!!?
Ответить👍👍👍
Ответитьdude, use a de-esser
ОтветитьIt is very sad not to have the option of a philips screwdriver instead of a corkscrew.
ОтветитьI carry an SD on my keychain, but for general use the Pioneer X and Farmer X are my favorite combination of size and tools for EDC.
ОтветитьThe Hunter-Pro was the knife that OJ used in the double homicide. Victorinox had sent him two to see as they were looking to have him be a spokesperson. A little-known fact.
ОтветитьVery nice >>>>>>> Thank you .
ОтветитьInteresting choices...
You included two 58 mm models, but the most common 84 & 91 mm models are only represented by an expensive collector's piece that hardly has any useful features nowadays? (No small driver, no scale tools, no mini driver for the cork screw, no bottle opener, unusable can opener... even the blade is smaller than the modern 91 mm.) I like that knife, but not as a "best fror EDC" for sure.
I'm really surprised you didn't suggest a 58mm model with the multi function phillips/cap lifter !
The battery isn't a "389 dash 390 battery” it's a number 389 OR number 390 battery.
I LOVE the SAK 7 Alox 😆
That pruning blade is fantastic for Bushcraft.
The 4" blade isn't "matted", that's what happens to animal fur and isnt a word related to metalwork.
The blade has a matte finish.
That Ranger grip 55 Onyx is the knife Zaphod Beeblebrox would buy to match Disaster Areas "Galactic Hyperhearse" lol 😲
Yes, I have Asperger's 😩
Must be the WORST 7 for EDC..
Noch rambler, no tinker, no swisstool, no cadet... but all the expensive chunky crap
I’ve been carrying the Compact as EDC.. the weight is amazing in my pocket and the features is more than enough for my EDC
ОтветитьYou just posted like 5 of the same knife ROFL, that makes this video lose a lot of credibility. Also where the hell is the Victorinox Rambler? Victorinox Manager? Victorinox Compact? And Pioneer Alox X beats out a lot of those in the vid.
ОтветитьA few things, as a SAK enthusiast:
1. Instead of the Signature Lite I recommend the Midnite Manager which adds a combotool (bottle opener, small and very useful Phillips screwdriver and wirestripper) to it as well AND the knifeblade opens on the opposite side so the keychain itself doesn't get in the way.
2. I would have also added the Compact and the Climber to the list, and for the Alox fans the Pioneer X and the Cadet.
I've been carrying my Hunter Pro every day for a little over a year now and find it to be a very useful and well built tool.
Ответить@9.20 the big knife name/model? thx!
ОтветитьVictorinox compact bro
ОтветитьYou know you've got a problem when you've got 4 out of the 7 you chose 😂
I also have to say the nail clip 580 is an awsome urban EDC addition
New video- like immediately 👍
