No matter what offenses Richard Nixon did towards our country he did what was asked and required of him he was pardoned . He did not deserve to have a camera on him or in his face during his grieving during his wive's funeral . This was wrong on the medias side 😡 Richard Nixon should have been allowed to grieve for his wife in peace.

Its impressive how he held it together, the emotion on his face looks like he just wants to ball his eyes out curled up on the floor.

Not a big fan of Nixon’s presidency, however I do think he was a respectable politician and a good humoured man, it’s heartbreaking to see him looking this way, openly crying after the loss of his beloved wife

I'm just about a quarter of the way through Conrad Black's biography of Richard Nixon. From errand boy to the highest office of that land, and without the vast wealth associated with some other presidents and the cronyism and leg ups that goes with it. The western world owes Richard Nixon a debt.

While in Whittier, Pat Ryan met Richard Nixon, a young lawyer who had recently graduated from the Duke University School of Law. The two became acquainted at a Little Theater group when they were cast together in The Dark Tower.[6] Known as Dick, he asked Pat to marry him the first night they went out. "I thought he was nuts or something!" she recalled.[17] He courted the redhead he called his "wild Irish Gypsy" for two years,[18] even driving her to and from her dates with other men.[7]

They eventually married on June 21, 1940, at the Mission Inn in Riverside, California.[19] She said that she had been attracted to the young Nixon because he "was going places, he was vital and ambitious ... he was always doing things".[7] Later, referring to Richard Nixon, she said, "Oh but you just don't realize how much fun he is! He's just so much fun!"[20] Following a brief honeymoon in Mexico, the two lived in a small apartment in Whittier

basically he liked her more than she liked him

this is the side of Richard Nixon we never got to see. we never really got to see much of the vulnerable, emotional part of him. seeing him cry as he walks to joint the crowd broke my heart - i know Pat’s death destroyed him, and he joined her in heaven not long after this.

what a beautiful first couple they were. bless the Nixons.
