I explain the science of happiness, including the different types of happiness and how our actions, circumstances and mindset control them. While it is difficult to standardize happiness from one person to the next, I outline a structured framework of what is critical to increasing your innate “natural happiness,” including financial security, purposeful work and relationships, and I explain specific tools to increase internal happiness (so-called “synthetic happiness”). I review how specific types of human connection and attention to our choices (or lack thereof) can increase or undermine our level of happiness. I also discuss the importance of certain types of physical contact, gratitude, financial choices and volunteer contributions that research shows can maximize happiness. And I discuss how factors such as children, pets, physical well-being, substance use, prior traumas and life-phase milestones affect our quest for and depth of happiness.

This podcast is awesome, Thank You. However, I have a caveat about giving to others charitably, avoid giving that seeks to solve someone else problems, if they can breakthrough with patience and effort, because people also need to learn problem solving. Giving to someone who refuses to think and work towards solving their problems themself is enabling them to be co-dependant on others to meet basic needs that can be solved by conscious effort. Giving too much can also create an entitled person in the end. People are not always going to work hard, or be creative if they can always seek others to do the labor for them. Be conscious of why you're helping the individual and observe their personal patterns of behaviour.

We have a void in the world that allows the corrupt to rule. Those with your level of competency who neglected to contribute to fill the void is the animosity that will be evident in my interactions and allow the corrupt to use that education to divide like your simplification of bipolar stygma you portray ,as I referred to in previous criticism of how you present complex physiological swings in the neurotransmitters we All are subjected to,optimism is a delusional expectation of what can be like the national health care temple that was formed from a delusion of what can be, according to your presentation the bipolar mind has no benefit I'm add not bipolar at this moment I cycle through every neurological influence from these swings daily I know no difference. Testla, mendolov ,and many more with these instabilities that can be medicated away.those of us who are deluded to form a globalization template that takes into consideration the human factor in light ofAI and automation thus the new industry to support or bridge the needs until the implementation if we survive as a species

The current dumbing down the population is successful in use of powerwords that have a stigmatizeing desire ,when psychology is use for a purpose deadbeat dad addict addiction are just a few that when used enable the corrupt to further conditioning the public to unconstitutional conditions without challenge ,incarcerating the ADHD "Addict" who is undiagnosed serves no purpose and it fills the jails

I Just wanted to take a moment to thank Andrew for his work and thank him for being able to stuff an ego aside and not worry about looking special. I want to thank him for not saying things that he doesn't actually know and being abundantly clear whether we know something as a fact or if it's his opinion etc etc. Thank you Andrew. You're a rockstar ! Now I want to see that episode on skateboarding. I feel like skateboarding could be one of those weird topics that has a lot to it, in terms of health. Or in terms of injurylol . Also you could talk about how much better emerging skateboarders are now than you and me would have been as kids. Not saying that there wasn't good skateboarders cuz there was and a lot of them. Amazingly are still on the board which would be another great thing to talk about. People that are 50 years old skateboarding which is absolutely insane if you think about when you were a kid growing up and how the adults were then. I'm sure you know what I'm saying, Andrew. Thank you for all of your hard work and commitment. Andrew!

This is the problem; we are multiple dimensional beings so only looking at this from a scientific perspective when science is only 2part 3part dimensional cannot give the full answer. Science is only based on what can be seen, when there obviously different parts different dimensions ; without getting technical every time we fall asleep we’re going into a unconsciousness, therefore another point in place; which just in commonsense tells me there’s other sides to the story

This is such an interesting video! I’m so glad I stumbled upon this. I’m huge on self awareness and self development and you really hit the nail on the head concerning so many things about me! I deal with anxiety, and I’m prone to depression, but overall, even after facing hell several times on this earth, it seems I remain incredibly optimistic. You mentioned bipolar disorder when it comes to showing excitement in every area and that’s me. But I’ve been told I wasn’t bipolar because I sleep pretty well at night. I’m in my head trying to self diagnose because there’s something more about my I need to understand
