I've just watched this video and forgotten I purchased most of these figures around 2008ish. I've had them saftley packed away in a box so I went to go check there's only 3 I never got
Willie Scott
Indiana Jones rope bridge missing sleeve
German on motor cycle
The play sets never really interested me so I never got those either but the rest I got including the crystal skull throne special offer they did and the talking 12inch Indiana Jones I'll have to look on eBay to see if I can get the missing 3 I never got

And what did Hasbro do? They released BAD reproductions and lackluster new 3 3/4 “retro” style figures and completely ditch a modern 3 3/4 Indy line that would have benefited from all the advances Hasbro has made for this scale. The Indy equivalent of the Black Series has very impressive sculpts and some very well made figures, BUT they are damn near impossible to find in retail, they are excluding some characters I thought should have been obvious inclusions (Willie, Mula Rom..), and did you want vehicles??? HA!!! Dream on

I'm probably in the minority here but I really wish that they had produced a Captain Blumburtt figure (tropical service uniform) and some British Indian Soldiers. Perhaps a future project for Marauder maybe?

As a fun fact almost not related to Indiana Jones' collecting, the Mutt Williams figure with no jacket can also make for a nice Sam Witwicky figure for the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen toyline from 2009, specially if for some reason you want him to ride Arcee or Chromia in bike mode. 😅

I really hope Hasbro will go deep in their 6” line as they did back in 2008. The only main characters they missed on I believe were Walter Donovan, Sallah, and Marcus Brody from Last Crusade, and Marion and Mac from Crystal Skull.

Unfortunately Hasbro will probably make two or three waves of the 6” line and call it a day, focusing of course on the new movie and the first.

Waaaaay too critical of the figures. Designers are faced with the impossible task of making a figure that will sell. Sell to make a profit. Too many misses and they are out of a job. The whip cracking Indy is fantastic. Comparing to what we had in the 80's it is night and day. All of you reviewers who are unhappy with your figures, feel free to sell them to me. I'd love every one of them and would be humming the theme while walking them across the table.

I had quite a few of these. I really had hoped the line would continue and they would make figures of Yung Indiana Jones and characters based on the books. Other variants of different outfits like star wars always has.

Yes, the Temple of Doom/SDCC Indy sculpt is the best Ford likness out of the Hasbro Indys, but I HATE how they painted his 5 o'clock shadow.

Rather than dab individual dots of stubble, they painted it a uniform, flat gray, & that comined with the Ford mouth they sculpted for it, imo, makes him look like those hobo clowns from the 1930's.

And it made me go search for and buy the best Indiana Jones figure based on your reporting of it.

I have very fond memories of the Indy line back in 2008. I had the temple of akator, the jungle cutter, German cargo truck, a 2 pack of German soldiers, and a pack of crystal skull figures from target. Growing up besides Star Wars and lego toys, I wanted Indiana Jones toys, and that wasn’t easy. When hasbro got the license and I learned of the lego sets I was super excited. I never owned any of the original lego sets but I loved the hasbro toys, I could spend hours playing with them, and was disappointed when I couldn’t find them anymore. With toys coming back for the new movie, I’m hoping they stick around for a while

With such a deep love of the original three films, I have to admit, seeing this rage of figures and vehicles as an adult years later had me feeling every bit like a kid again... Back when the films came out, my parents could never have afforded to get me these kind of toys, and so I was unaware of the original 80's line, which kinda made it even sweeter to have a fully articulated 3.75" Indiana Jones figure decades later.

I didn't see the bad face sculpt, I didn't see the huge cumbersome holster, or the (scruffy?) trousers, I saw a fantastically colored, highly detailed cool looking action figure of my all time hero. I guess I saw it through the eyes of when I was a kid, and it looked great to me, after all, I wasn't looking for perfection.

Seeing this line of toys scrutinized to within (3.75) inches of its life seems unfair, compared to some action figures, the line looked rushed, compared to others out there, it looked good, to those of us who weren't quite as spoilt, it looked amazing.

I never understood this nonsense of the day when certain toys companies say "design technology of the day" whem it comes to articulation....as a species we were able to put ourselves into space and on the moon back in 1969 and yet starwars and action force figures didnt have elbow and knee articulation because "technology" didnt exsit...thats nonsense as G.I Joe were articulated so there was no reason for starwars and action force figures to be 5 p.o.a (other than the joes that were licenced to be used in the action force line) and it has nothing to do with keeping costs down as starwars, action force and g.i. joe figures were more or less the same price

Despite being a huge Indy fan, these are yet another lot of figures I never came across in any way, shape, or form. I still only have the Revoltech Indy in my collection. It's not bad, but is really let down by the face sculpt. I'm really excited for the upcoming 6" figures to be able to build a modern Indy collection.

Indiana Jones is what got me into modern 1/6 collecting with the Toys McCoy figure & Arabian horse in '99. I became obsessed, with being a kid that already grew up in the '80s with the movies. I was even in correspondence with Peter Botwright from Wested Leather; finding out what Harrison Ford's size is, and getting a custom Last Crusade style jacket. I had 90+ percent of the costume...and practiced for months with several bullwhips I purchased. I'm telling ya, I was obsessed. The whole point of that is that I didn't buy a single Hasbro Indiana Jones figure. With them not getting a standard Indy right, I just couldn't commit.

Just curious, did you that before Hasbro cancel the 2008 Indy line, they were gonna give put out some more basic figures, deluxe figures and vehicles as well. These include: Coronel Dietrich
Belloq (white suit)
Walter Donovan
Indiana Jones with Map trap (I’m assuming it was a map room mini play set)
Indiana Jones with Rocket sled
Indiana Jones with soul trap (assuming it was a Well of Souls mini play set)
Young Indy with horse
Short Round with mine cart
(These next two don’t have too much info on them)
??? (Ark I’m guessing) with Ark Ghost
??? (German motorcycle I’m guessing) with side car
Vehicles:
Duck Boat
Flying Wing
These were all that had to do with the basic figure line, not including: the 12 inch figures, Adventure heroes and Mighty Muggs. See some of the things they were planning, I believe the figures that were in the Lost Wave SDCC exclusive pack were originally meant for the canceled wave, seeing as this line features more elements from the Kenner line. I honestly kinda wish they would’ve gone a bit longer to see what this wave could’ve seen

I personally love this 2008 toy line but these are not characters and vehicles for kids. The toy construction and options are not the problem. These characters make for a great movie but outside of Indiana Jones , they don't make for great toys for kids. No kid under age 12 wants to play with any characters other than Indiana Jones or Mola Ram. It's why both the Kenner and Hasbro line failed
