Police Urge Social Media Users To Stop Sharing 12-Year-Old’s Suicide Video

What helped me when I was a young, depressed kid was writing in my diary. I could vent and let out my pain through my pen onto the paper. It was very therapeutic and it helped when I felt there was no one that could ever understand how I felt. I still have a couple of those diaries and I realize now how much they made a difference when I felt misunderstood or mad or sad or different than other kids. I am now an old lady but I still remember those feelings and am grateful for my best friend at the time who bought me my first diary with an actual lock so I didn't fear it being read by my family.

Such a shame she's literally a baby man what happened to this world poor girl was crying out for help! Who ever shared that video is just a disgrace to the human race!

I saw it a day or two later, posted on 4chan. It was a heartbreaking thing to watch, and it stuck with me for weeks and weeks... in fact, it never really went away. I'll always remember her name. Sad thing is, there was another 12 year old girl who did the same thing a month or two after Katelyn did it. Hope they both rest in peace.

I seen her suicide video like years ago, I was just thinking about her and her video(s) yesterday, so heartbreaking and messed up.

Looking like that at 12. She needed to slow down and have a childhood, but it doesn’t seem to exist these days. They grow up too fast. Not the same supervision. When I was that age growing up was slower, society was different.

what a beautiful young woman. ive struggled with anxiety and depression off and on my entire life. i also had suicidal ideations for years. at 51, im doing so much better. i wish younger people would give life a chance. i know its hard. theres ups and downs. tomorrows another day. stay here.

No offense but you 12 lol in my country we were dirt poor and had nothing and suffered but suicide was so rare unlike the west that seems to have the highest rates of suicide. As i said we had kids live harder lives and still suicide never happened

Kids already struggle with depression. Adding social media makes it a lot worse. People may come at me, but really, be honest. Has social media really made our lives any better?

Things schools get wrong is that if a student has something like anxiety or depression they don't go ask for help.

When I was in a care home, there was another young boy my age 13 years old, he looked very sad and lost I asked if he was OK he just looked at me and nodded then the next day he hanged himself to this day now at the age of 43 I still feel sad about that and maybe if I was a little bit older I would of had the mind set to take him under my wing RIP Angel 😢🌹

There is a reason that is happy to this side of reality. Don't forget all the famous Romans who chose a abetter solution than continuing to decay. Think of Seneca the great Stoic. None of us will ever be greater than him. Kerouac chose drinking as his form of suicide. It works. I have no plans in that direction. I have a happy life. But I am not averse to choosing that direction if I have to. I keep in stock a harakiri knife just in case. I don't want the lack of wisdom of the institutional majority. Be well as I am.
