HEY! Hi there, looking for a quick bit of help. I am a Weebill S owner and I like it a lot, but I dropped it off a table recently and it landed on the smartphone mount. All seemed well - the gimbal works as it should - but the tiny threads holding the "rose mount" (which connects the smartphone mount to the gimbal body) have been ripped out. I contacted Zhiyun and they advised that I send it to their workshop in China from the UK for a minimum cost of $100 plus shipping. I am not contesting the price, but I am very short of money plus it will take quite a long time and I have two shoots with the gimbal in the next few weeks. I was thinking of using a very good epoxy resin or even thread inserts, but Zhiyun dismissed the idea. Do you have any experience of this? Is there another handle that will connect to the gimbal with a similar rose mount? I do tend to use the smartphone mount a lot and can't really use the gimbal to its fullest without it. Any ideas? question, im looking to breed some new life with my 5D mk2 to do some videography, I was looking to see which gimbal i can use with the camera and saw that some people are using this. I really want to get the DJI RSC 2 as im going to be upgrading my camera but only after rasing some money to buy the new r5c and a c300 but im going to work with what I got first. will this thing be good enough for that camera. appreciate the time you put in here.

I'm about to buy my first gimbal, which will mostly be used for shooting B-rolls for product reviews and such. Filming around products, programming movements up and down, side to side, etc. My camera is a Sony ZV-1. I'm having a hard time deciding which gimbal to go for. I'm currently looking at the weebill S and the Crane M3 ?

Long, long time ago I was applying for a course of digital photography. I was working with Canon 350D back then, and newer and more advanced cameras were already out in the market. When we talked about this with my teacher, he said: "You have a truly great camera. When newer models are released that doesn`t mean your camera automatically gets worse. It`s still a great piece of gear, so go out and take pictures!"
I think that this idea applies to everything in life. Also about Weebill S. If it`s older, it doesn`t mean it`s useless. I just got it slightly used for 170eur with AF motor included and I think, it is a truly great deal. I can`t afford brand new gimbal for 400+eur, so I`m truly happy that I found this deal.

Sorry for the delayed repy, but i own weebill S since 2020. I didnt use it so often since i work mostly handheld with my GH5 (great ibis). And now i realised that the aperture control cannot go down of 4.0 and i have to do it manualy from the body. (it works only to 4-22). Do you have any idea about it? Do i have to downgrade? I remember when i firstly bought it doesnt had this kind of issue. The equipment and lens are the same. Lumix G 25mm f.17 and the weebill firmware is the 2.07. Thanks in advance

I still have this gimbal and I bought it when it came . The first gimbal and only one I have. It's not perfect.. but I rather practice with this than having a huge gimbal that I could film short period time .. weebil S is so light weight and feels great to shoot with it.. I learned that any gimbal you have... They can't do what you could do on hand held... And some shots/ projects gimbal is a must and some hand held is a must .. only in weddings you need to get the shot in first take and my weebil S has done it. I am very happy with it and it's a tool that I use to create videos . The S5Mkii looks like a camera that hand held is very good and you don't need a gimbal most of the time.. great review

I’m a French videographer. I do both corporate and wedding films and I totally agree with you. Weebill S stills a very good gimbal. I use it with myA7iii + PZ 16-35 G f/4, 24-104 G f/4 without any issue.
My only regret may be the cheap quality of buttons… but for the price, it’s worth it 😋

Hey Peter, thanks for all the tips! Can you please recommend a carbon fiber extension pole? The one in your link is no longer for sale on amazon. I would like a trustworthy one considering it will have to hold the weight potentially the entire rig. Hate to drop $6k plus of equipment due to a $20 extension pole. Reading reviews of some of the poles on amazon are quite frightening. Thanks!

My weebill S doesn’t work correctly… often and randomly is shifting on side, or shackles meanwhile I walk. I tried out to reach out the support, but a dramatic silence from them… no service…no support…at least on my market…and looking on You Tube , you find a lot of witnesses that reports this issues. I’m really disappointed and I want to sell it.. because I don’t like at all… you should talk about the cons and not only the pro…

Thinking about a Weebill as for my A7m4 but I don’t think the gimbal will talk to the camera doesn’t appear updated for it, so just ‘dumb’ mode right?

Could u please recommend me some light gimbal? I use Fujifilm XT-20 with its lens kit. I once tried Zhiyun Crane 2S and it turned out very heavy for me.
