This Combo Shouldn't Be Possible | Baldur's Gate 3 Oathbreaker Paladin Pact Weapon Is Insane

For future reference, in case this gets fixed, the Extra Attack from Pact Weapon (Warlock) shouldn't stack with out sources of Extra Attacks (level 5 martial classes). But in the current version of the game (hotfix 4), it does. So you get 2 Extra Attacks per turn. If this ever gets fixed, we'll likely switch to multiclassing it with Fighter, maybe Sorc for more smites,

How do i get a subclass? I can only see how to reclass. Every help is wrlcome :)

See if you make it a half orc you can take advantage of the high crit rate and have three rolls

Does the double stacking of strength and charisma still work?
Does the extra attack from warlock still stack?
Just asking cause i read conflicting remarks

I finished the game 3 times and got all the achievements, I collected all the armor sets, weapons and all items, I don't know if I will play again for these types of combos.

does the aura of hate give enemies the same bonus?

The charisma modifier for bonus damage is overriding my strength modifier. I don't get both. They must have patched this

As Paladin Oath of Vengeance, you can easily break your oath and become an Oathbreaker by accepting the power/ability 'hair' from defeating the Hag.

When should we break our oath?

whats the point in searching early game if its all late game bullshit

Can’t you go oathbreaker from level 1? Or do you have to wait until level 7? And wouldn’t it be bad to start the game with 8 strength? Gimping you from the start couldn’t you just respec the ability points once you get the gloves?

I think though there might be a very cool variation of that:
In this one I take Oath of Vengeance and I do not break it because this gives me "VOW OF ENMITY" that you can selfcast (I don't know if this is intended) and gain 10 turns of Advantage on EVERY single enemy (or allies lol). This compensates the Weapon Master -5 on ATK rolls so well and just for a mere Bonus Action. And this resets on short rest. Moreover it does not require concentration so you can actually take Hex from Warlock (cast the Cons one as a lot of your attacks have Cons saving throws) and spam that on biggest foes for another d6 of necrotic damage.
Also, when you use the Gith legendary weapon you can get from Voss, you can bring with you the device that sets surrounding beings in a state of immense joy, giving you some advantages on throws but also Vulnerability to Psy damage for another 2d6 Psy damage on every attack (4d6 on a crit lol). -> Don't forget to send the device to camp before any massive Giths or Mind Flayers encouter because they will deal double Psy damage to your party as well.
[NOTE]: You can lack of damage against Physical damage resistant foes, there is an oil called Oil of Sharpness if I remember correctly. It allows you to ignore these resistances for 10turns costing a Bonus Action to cast on you weapon.
[NOTE]: For the ones who prefer Oathbreaker, you can easily break it in act III by swearing to Gortash that you will help him (Paladin exclusive dialogue option).
[RANDOM NOTES]:
- Nere's boots can be a brilliant option to make sure you stand still and you get Misty Steps for this mobility issue.
- Until you get your hands on Baldurian's Helm, go for the one you get from killing Forge of Adamantine boss: No crit can be dealt to you, resistance to Fire (magic and non-magic sources) AND Hunter's Mark which is a nice placeholder when you don't have access to Hex yet.
- Ketheric's Body Armor is super nice for the passive you get, -2 damage from ALL SOURCES and 19 AC.
- There is a ring that gives you +3m mobility which is nice if you want more of that.

Bonus for those who would like to go super high in damage numbers -> There is an amulet called Amulet of Branding that applies a physical Vulnerability of your choice for the next instance of damage taken. This is a Bonus Action and resets on short rest. You can get to 120 total damage or so with a crit when applying this in addition to Hex and all the above items.

How his 20 charisma come from. I can reach only 18.

Taking Hunger of Hadar + Agonizing Blast + Repelling Blast trivializes a lot of fights. Plonk one down at the highest density of enemies, especially ranged enemies, and theyre neutralized. You're free to clean up the martials that are outside of it, and if any escape you just repelling blast them back in. From what ive played so far id take it over devils sight and darkness

For some reason after i made my halberd bound, it only scales from charisma but not with strength. Why is that? :(

Helldusk Armor is in fact Heavy Armor. Barbarians can not wear it and rage.

This build still works just tried it today and it's just insanely good but here's some things that i changed for my character
You can change the boots with helldusk boots its just better and because you have hill giants gloves you can set your str to 8 so you have more ability points to spend others same goes for cons just set it to 8 and you have so much spare points for free

What do you think about using a Watcher Greatsword? Damage seems potentially high.

How did you get 20 Charisma with that build?

When I check attack bonus, the strength bonus is lost upon pact weapon activation? Did they fix it?

@KhrazeGaming I think I'm missing something here. You mentioned leveling your Charisma to 20 and then 22 with mirror, but where are you getting the +2 Charisma after you use your last feat choice on an ASI to get 18?

Should I not oath break until my build is complete?

Oath of vengeance can be broken by sparing Viconia in act 3

@KhrazeGaming Did they fix the Strength being added to your Damage while using pact of the blade? I am currently not getting any Str Modifier on my Dmg After doing the pact, Only Charisma.

How does your character have that stance? I have a tiefling paladin character too and his combat stance is retarded and garbage

Low strength means low hit rate. How you play this build in act 1 to 2?
