Ya this is definitely not confusing

Another way of assessing a round of golf: the pass/fail system (PFS). Prior to play, determine the standard skill mark that is to be met: birdie, par, bogie, or double bogie per hole. During play, score a 1 when the standard is met and a 0 when it is not met. At finish of round, sum the 1s and divide that total by the number of holes played. Convert this to a percentage. This will be your pass rate expressed as a percentage for a given standard skill mark.

When I saw the title: "Science of Golf: Math of Scoring", I got excited. When I saw it was from the USGA, the excitement was replaced by disappointment because there is no science or math performed by the USGA.

The part that explained that a negative one is a negative one was entirely captivating. It reminds me of counting turds in the toilet. I’m at negative three turds today. Does this make me a professional turd dropper? I could perhaps join the PTA tour.

A person who is just getting interested in golf would find this explanation a little difficult and ask more questions. Just being honest

why do Americans use different terminology.? we have had our golf stations bought out by them but they do not care about their viewers. in the uk we have eagle birdie par bogie SO WHAT IS A DOUBLE EAGLE AND HOW MANY STABLEFORD POINTS DO YOU GET FOR THAT . Also why is GOLF and FREESPORTS the advert channels well golf its a advert every 1.5 minutes yet football netball cricket tennis F1 and so on get their adverts in at 45 minutes but people yak yak yak goes on for longer. I FOR ONE WANT BBC 2 BACK ITS BETTER LESS YAK AND LOTS MORE OF WHAT I PAY FOR , ITS SO BAD NOW THAT WHEN 1ST AD COMES ON I THEN SWITCH TO MOCK THE WEEK AND OTHER SUCH SHOWS . I can imagine a lot of people who go for high scores would be so confused to discover that golf only lets someone win with the lowest scores XD

Just wonderful, been searching for "how does a golf handicap work on a scorecard" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Tonayden Senadelyn Remedy - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my work buddy got amazing results with it.

Suggestion: With all the emphasis on hitting from the appropriate tee ("tee up" campaign) , why don't you do a video on adjusting handicaps when players in a foursome are playing from different tees?
