The former name of this receiver is GRUNDIG Satellit 750.

This looks like as very useful radio, but you need to remember you'll need different antennas for certain bands, like the aircraft (120-130 MHz) band.
I think I'd use the secret storage area for an extra set of batteries, or an antenna wire, earphones, or maybe chocolates? ;)😉

Other than that, I think it's more important to know where to tune (tornado, hurricane, riots, SHTF, etc.)
I haven't found any useful books or web sites for that- they only care about ham radio!

As a long time "Expert" on heavy knobs I can say with confidence that THAT knob is not heavy... If it were heavy, as in heavy like the radio knobs of old, you would be able to turn said knob briskly and have said knob continue to spin after having release said knob.

Make sure it comes with the adapter and only use the official adapter. The market is flooded with brand new radios with the power circuits fried due to improper adapter polarity etc. Pretty straight forward fix if you are up for it and want a cheap 750!
