How to Fix a Duplicate Suspended Google My Business (GMB) Listing

Does the official representative need to be the owner of the organization or can it be an employee hired to perform this role?

Oh... back in the good old days when Google used to give you at least a vague suggestion of why your business got suspended.

My business got marked as duplicate and when I spoke to the support team they said if business got marked as duplicate then it can not get back normal again?. Is It true? duplicate marked businesses can not be restored?. need an urgent answer. what to do?

My business is stuck in “verification” and it seems to not be moving for weeks on end -I’m at a loss. I keep emailing their support and they keep saying “your profile is ok”

I have 2 business listings at the same address. the primary is verified named "A". the secondary is "B".
"B" got suspended due to a duplicate issue, but "B" is very important to me. so, I delisted "A".. and sent a Reinstatement request for "B". but google denied reinstating "B".
what should I do now?

I'm just going through this process right now. It's a bit annoying that they do this automatically without even give you some sort of notice. Because in my case, not only that my 2nd listing has been marked as duplicated, but I noticed that the reviews from the 1st and 2nd listing have already been merged into my first listing, which is a completely different business.

This means that even if I get my 2nd profile back, I have a feeling I have lost those reviews, yes they are in teh 1st profile, but they are irrelevant to that business, and I'll need to start from scratch. Plus, whos to say that this won't happen again.

Thank you for this info Yan. We are facing this problem of duplication of business for one of my client. We were verified business until another business has used same address and marked us as duplicate. Tried reaching out to support but not satisfied with thier steps. We have genuine views reviews and posts. Could you please help in getting back our business listed? It would of great help.

I have a business in an area where there is someone else also doing business with similar name,from last 2 years we worked really hard and our profile was working fine with verified contact numbers n location,last week the person with similar name marked us as duplicate and we are unable to see our account and if we are clicking on our earlier link it is taking us to the competitors page,we have all the genuine reviews,contact numbers,Emailid and daily upload of products still it is been marked as duplicate,could you please help me with it,Thank you in advance

Thank you for this! Google is saying that the profile I've created is a duplicate of another business with a similar name. I reached out like you mentioned, and they simply re-stated that, though it's clear our profiles have different categories, contact information, services, etc. I sent another email with screenshots and tried to explain even more clearly. Hi Yan, I accidentally lost my www. from my website host on google mybusiness and google. You can pull up the company without the www. We own the domain but when I put it in google mybusiness it says incorrect url. I want to attach my host website back on google. I don’t know where to put my embedded link from my host. It won’t take it on google mybusiness. Do I have to have my host redo everything. I have the DNS codes, but don’t know where to put it to connect my website.
