Memberships like at COOP not working because of high rent and trying to offer high end food that is not. Founders and farmers, Loblaws, Superstore mostly paying for the privelege to shop there. Even No Frills is costing more. Paying for carts now then being charged for bags are some ways they are attempting to pay for the costs associated with customer wants. Good luck fixing prices. Both Loblaws and Metro are making staggering profits while other retailers such as Walmart manage to keep prices down. This is about supply and an almost monopoly of food groups. Decades ago, we had at least 6 major chains and several smaller ones that could compete. Your ignorance about this situation is one of the reasons this has been allowed to happen. Choice of government won't change the price fixing. Investigations will. It's your money.
