for gaming switch the ratio to 2560x1440p, you'll have black bars on the sides but runs much better

I bought this monitor and the Samsung CRG90. Keeping the Samsung. Wider color gamut in sRGB and P3. Better contrast ratio (3000:1 vs 1000:1). It has better curvature so I no longer find myself leaning toward the edges. Higher refresh rate (120hz vs 60hz). The only problem with the Samsung is that since it's a VA panel (LG is IPS), you have to mount it perfectly otherwise colors wash out very slightly due to viewing angle issues. Other than that, it's the better display. I play my Switch on it connected via an mClassic - looks great. Haven't gamed on it yet with a PC.

G9 has the same price as this in Sweden making LG obsolete.

I have a smaller lg monitor but how do you connect your usb gear directly to the monitor? My monitor with usb works fine with mac os however windows 10 prevents me from using the usb at the back of the monitor and yes I have updated the drivers. Congrats on your new monitor!

I too was considering this monitor but don't find 1440px vertical good for software development (1600px is simply much better). Too bad they don't make 5120x1600 panels yet. I was hoping to see some announcements at CES 2021 but haven't seen anything yet.

I am looking to get this monitor.. but I want to use it for practically everything. So my work laptop (USB C) - my gaming PC (DP or HDMI) and to eventually work as another monitor to play consoles on, ranging from original 1080p devices such as Xbox 360/PS3/Xbox One to 4K for my current PS4 Pro and eventually a PS5. Obviously the max resolution for those devices won't be the maximum for this monitor but i'm curious how the monitor would automatically react to those devices being plugged in.. does it have black bars either side, do the devices only see a maximum resolution of 1080p? It'd be great if you had any consoles lying around to test what it is like.

This is just about the only two 32:9 monitor that has IPS LCD screen panel with the other one being a Dell U4919DW. However, at $2,000 of which this monitor is currently selling in my country via Harvey Norman, I'd expect to have at least 90Hz refresh rate.

Only thing I don’t like about a 49in monitor is my anime shows are going to have black bars on each side which for me I find kinda annoying.
