As somebody who struggled with this but has gotten therapy for my PTSD and addiction, this is so refreshing to see. P**n addiction and exposure in children is too normalized nowadays. I was 6 when first exposed to it and I am 14 years old now. I'll be a freshman next year and am much happier than I was back then. Don't give up and be strong- addiction is hard but you can beat it! :)

I think it's like alcohol or social media usage. If you watch rarely, it's beneficial. But if you watch everday, yes that's the addiction

Need to identify the mechanisms that cause this in the first place and attack those mechanisms, otherwise we're waiting our time.

Such porns which are violent are harmful and misleading which may lead to wrong message and misconceptions where governments should bane and regulate these kind of content to be more educative rather than just based on pleasure

This sounds like back then when violent video games were judged by teachers at school but later proved to have almost no influence in violence compared to many other raising factors. Great talk but usually Ted talks shows a more balanced two sides of the coin.

How awesome that we are having this great education and learning and how bad for me that I have just met this after years but its so much better than nothing or never. but unfortunately in third world countries and poor both cultural and economic logics, the References are so less and no one even care about this sicknesses and addictions. one of our only recourses is this channels and the educated people that we can find who can talk about this stuff. I wish more and more people see at least these videos and those who see like me, notice others and as time goes on we get that confidence to talk and make conversations about it. thanks again.
