Sydney didn't want to wear the crown because she's so humble. She only did it because her family wanted her to. 👑 💖

hate to use this comparison but this is Secretariat like...Cockrell is on the ground gasping for air and Sydney looks like she just walked the dog.

What the commentator said about because Bol was there that was the reason they broke the record... not because she's the best hurdler in history... she needs Bol to help her break the record... still with the Bol crap

As in the Tokyo Olympics...the commentators focus is on Bol winning... same outcome Bol came in third .. they put the commentators on suicide watch...then they started with the excuses..her dog had the flu, she had to take her goldfish to it's swimming lessons.. GTFOH

All the Femke hype; Sydney and Anna both smoked her.

This was a strategic race. McLaughlin saved it on the backstretch while Bol pushed to try to get the lead then deliver her closing speed. But Bol ran out of gas coming off the last turn which is how Cockrell put her away to win silver. Not sure if a change in strategy for Bol would have given her a better race (winning just wasn't in the cards).

At this point, the only one that could beat Sydney is Sonic the Hedgehog...IF he has all the Chaos Emeralds. Regular Sonic is getting dusted.

When I watch Sydney, it's clear that she has a massive edge over other hurdlers in terms of power. Others are great runners but Sydney has so much power in her stride throughout the entire race. When she lands after a hurdle, you can see her immediately accelerate again, whereas others lose momentum on the landing. The other thing I noticed here vs Bol is the time per hurdle. She gets up, over, and down SO quickly compared to Bol. Basically, less airtime per hurdle. She's making smaller jumps than the other competitors, which are more efficient over the span of the race. This I think is also reducing the impact recoil on landing, making it easier for her to continue a low and powerful stride. She has mastered this event.
