#Hallmarking is the official mark used in India as a guarantee of purity and fineness of precious metal articles. In India, #gold and #silver are under the purview of Hallmarking.

#Certificate of #registration is granted instantly and is completely free.
The #registered #jewellers then get their jewelleries hallmarked from the BIS recognised #assaying and hallmarking centres. On successful testing, a unique alphanumeric code is generated for each jewellery article and is laser marked along with BIS logo and purity mark.
