Riding an Insane 1000cc 2 Stroke Dirt Bike!

People can say it, BUT NO ONE will ever understand not 1 BUT 2 CR500s stuck together cranking out that amount of torque.

I know 2 is “enough” but a CR2000 would be even more insane. Put a huge rear tire on it covered in spikes and enjoy the 50 foot high rooster tails

Way way back in the mid 80's (almost 40 years ago) my old boss custom built a YZ980. Two 490 motors. Was an insane hillclimbing bike.

2 cr 500 engines similar as the rd/banshee engine I had a tdr250 and that with 2 dep exhausts reverse cylider 2 stroke twin with ypvs going off road not mx tracks was insane . KEEP 2 STOKES ALIVE

Reminds me a bit of the old TZ750 dirt tracker that Kenny Roberts raced for Yamaha, if only because they were/are both powered by mondo-gargantuane 2-strokes. Very cool!

I thought they’re all fairly good ideas similar to ones I’ve had in the past but, as I’m mainly a bandsaw operator horizontal and vertical. The horizontal one having a 29 foot long 6 inch wide blade you could see the blade on the bandsaw slipping when it was started as it’s so loose. The tightness of the blade is one of the most important things. You could see it wobbling like buggery all the time. Would struggle with that not bad at all for a home made one

If you ever get a chance, i highly recommend going to a hill climb event. Super cool to watch. They sound like race cars going up a mountain. On top of that, that crowd knows how to party and have a good time... hahaha

D & M racing in Arizona did a 3 cylinder banshee years ago same concept but for the sand drags .....
