What an excellent idea! Would love to see slow motion of provisional cast on.
ОтветитьPersonally, I don't see the point in this series. If someone wants to see something in slow mo, just go to the settings, and slow it down. I see a few disappointing Wednesdays ahead. 80(
ОтветитьGreat help! I’ve just started a knitting class & by the next day had forgotten how to cast on! Thanks!!
ОтветитьThis is amazing! I’m looking forward to a Slo-Mo Germain Short Row! ❤️
ОтветитьI think this is an amazing idea. When people intentionally go much slower than usual, their movements often change and economies of motion are left out. This way people get to see what you actually do, that you may not even fully realise that you do.
I would be curious to see it full speed as well, but that would just be for fun.
Hello! The slow- mo cast on helps me, being visuel. Thank you. Placed in a regular video would be good but by itself I don't feel such a slow learner. ; )
ОтветитьPs loving the slo-mo and can't wait for more xx
ОтветитьExcellent !!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI love this slo mo video can there be a slo mo for adding a new ball of yarn?
ОтветитьLove the slow mo!!!! So very helpful. Keep it up. Thank you.
ОтветитьVery useful video. Two questions/comments: yes, all techniques in slow motion! And second: can you show in slow motion the video where you demonstrate various techniques/ways to hold hands and yarn? As a very very new to knitting, im still struggling finding a comfortable way to hold yarn left or right hand. This will help other beginners like me... I think. Thanks!
ОтветитьI am a very visual learner so slow mo is great for me!
ОтветитьIt would be nice to see you sample a knitting thimble
ОтветитьI love these, and I look forward to more of them. One thing that would improve them (for me) is having a voice-over briefly describing what you're doing. Not step-by-step the whole thing, but mostly in moments of transition. In this one, a voiceover saying "I'm making a slipknot to start" and then "this is the first long-tail cast-on stitch." (In the knit stitch one, saying what you're doing when you do those two k2t stitches, and then mentioning--while you're doing it--that your continental looks slower because you don't usually use the technique.) Even without that, brava!
ОтветитьThank you, very helpful!
ОтветитьThese are great videos. Sure does beat pausing every 2 seconds. Can you do a video of going down a line to fix a mistake and how you would pick the stitches back up etc. For some reason mine keep getting screwed up.
ОтветитьThese videos are definitely great! I always paused, went back a couple of seconds and then played again. 😂 can you please do a video of a dropped stitched and how to make the loop again if it pulls and disappears. Like when you knit a few and see a hole in your work! 😜 happened to me twice already and i dont know how to fix them.
ОтветитьCan you please tell me what size and kind of knitting needles are best for someone who is just trying to learn to knit? Every time I try to knit the first loop of every row is loose and I don't have the know how to fix this challenge. I have tried to teach myself how to knit and it doesn't work. I am not giving up. I can crochet and I want to learn to knit to expand my craft knowledge. Can you help me? Thank you for reading my text.
ОтветитьBellissimi e fatti molto bene questi video , proprio per chi deve imparare a lavorare a maglia. Grazie per averli fatti
ОтветитьStacie, these videos are amazing! In this one, you say you’ve cast on 10 stitches, but there are 11 loops on the needle - 10 cast on and the slip knot. So what’s the stitch count? You would knit into the slip knot loop, right? (I’m in the midst of a heated debate with my mom! 😉)
ОтветитьThank you so much, I am visually impaired and you going slow helps me so much
ОтветитьI have just seen your tutorials and I am more successful now and enjoy knitting more. The slow motion videos are so helpful.
Thank you for being inspired to add these.
Thank you, was doing GT but finally getting confident enough to try dpns and was having trouble with loading the 2nd and 3rd needle to attempt your beautiful cabled fingerless gloves. I was getting very frustrated trying to load up, magic loop is my go to, but need to conquer Dpns.
Again... thank you, tutorials much appreciated.
Do you have a video of pulling the yarn from both ends of a skein, when a large number of cast one are required, so I don't come up short or have a bunch left over?
ОтветитьHallelujah! thank you!!
ОтветитьThank you so much for these brilliant videos. You are such a good teacher. We are on lockdown here in the UK so teaching myself how to knit and these videos are so so helpful
ОтветитьThank you! The way you held the yarn was a little different and helped me a lot. I finally got it! 🤗
ОтветитьWhich hand is holding the working yarn and which hand is holding the tail?
ОтветитьWow this is how I was taught by my mom as well years ago…love it.
ОтветитьHow does it work when you move to the 2nd & 3rd needles, please? The pattern I'm following requires 20 sts on each of three, total 60.
ОтветитьSuch a good idea. Very pleased to have found you!
ОтветитьJust watched this video. I'm in my 60's and my Nana taught me exactly the same way when I was learning to knit as a young girl! I still find this the best and neatest cast on. Thank you so much 🥰
ОтветитьWhich line is the tail?
ОтветитьThese videos are very helpful. Could you show how to cast on for double knitting and how to do double knitting? TVM
ОтветитьIs this the American or British way of doing it? My mom taught me a mix of the two
ОтветитьThank you soooo MUCH!! I choose I am a new beginner to knitting. I really need slow speech as well as visuals. I choose videos which are slow, clear and easy to understand. Again Thx
ОтветитьI just love your style / aesthetic! So clean and refreshing. Thank you very much for the slow motion, as well! Fabulous over all. Subscribing!
ОтветитьThank you!!!
ОтветитьTrouble with this vid is I can’t tell which yarn is tail and which is working
ОтветитьCrochet
ОтветитьUsing long tail cast on is front with the tail on the left or the right end? Thanks so much for showing this method so clearly. 🧶
ОтветитьHow to calculate how much tail for 60 stitches? Thanks
ОтветитьAs a very beginner knitter, could you provide a bit more context please? You've determined the length needed for the number of stitches cast on and the tail is fairly long, is that correct? And is the tail on the left, yarn to the right? Thanks.
ОтветитьYour slow motion videos are awesome. I was wondering if you might be inclined to make a video on picking up stitches along the gusset of socks? I’ve learned so much from your videos! Thank you!
ОтветитьPlease let us know which end is long and which side is end of the wool
Ответить
