Why vsync on in-game? Doesn't g-sync overide the purpose for vsync?
ОтветитьHello sir if i dont like the in game reflex mode fps cap and i would like to cap my fps only by 4 fps down then my 165hz monitor should i just use off in latency mode in control panel or on,on plus boost?
ОтветитьIn the Essentials configuration for example, you set G-Sync: ON and v-sync: ON (in-game). I thought G-Sync was doing the same job as v-sync (avoiding screen tearing) without the input lag increase. What am I missing? It's hard to understand these topics for me 😄
ОтветитьDamsn this some BS with all the hype abou lateny about a few ms, if you want no screen tearing just enable gsync, frame limter and vsync in your gllobal nVidia control panel, disable v sync in game and be done
Ответитьwhy disable ultra low latency mode when reflex takes over IN THEORY ?
ОтветитьFor competitive.. nvidia reflex should torn off from nvidia control panel only or in game also ?
🙏 thanks
I don't like the Nvidia bias....
ОтветитьHow would I use smooth config for a game like Minecraft because I can only choose between V-Sync and Framerate cap
Ответитьhow does reflex low latency not engage on the smooth case but works on the essential case? aren't both cases being fps capped?
ОтветитьI've been researching for a while now, but I still dont udnerstand why exactly it is adviced to enable V-sync to begin with alongside g-sync. It seems that you use it, so you dont have to use an fps limiter like RTSS, if I understand that correctly. What I don't quite understand is: do you have slightly less input lag (total) with gsync + v-sync off + RTSS compared to Gsync + vsync + NO RTSS. Do you even need RTSS in the later? Hope you could finally clear things up. Thank you in advance! (I use 144hz gsync monitor). According to "jorimt"'s 101 guides on blurbusters it is faster when v sync is off, still he recommends explicitly to turn it ON. I'm confused.
Ответитьvsync on in game? it should be on in nvcp and off in game
ОтветитьIt was so complicated at first, but you explained it and it became so simple, thank you!
ОтветитьI really hope you're okay
Ответитьhi, I have a laptop with the rtx 3070, I ran your guide "smooth" managing to lock the fps at 125 on mw2, I play with gsync active on free sync monitor. I wanted to ask you, do I have to activate the two options inside windows, VVR and hardware accelerated GPU scheduling? thank you
Ответитьi have a question in the essenstials how would you get gpu bound if you have a frame rate limiter PLUS vsync when vsync caps your fps as does the frame rate limited, so why would it be more important to use reflex in the essentials more than the smooth setting as smooth also has vsync and an fps limit?
ОтветитьThere's something I don't understand. BlurBuster's states that V-sync acts very differently when G-sync is on than when it is off, and it should always be on in the control panel rather than the game as games can have wonky implementations.
Why does your recommendation differ?
From BlurBusters:
"This update led to recurring confusion, creating a misconception that G-SYNC and V-SYNC are entirely separate options. However, with G-SYNC enabled, the “Vertical sync” option in the control panel no longer acts as V-SYNC, and actually dictates whether, one, the G-SYNC module compensates for frametime variances output by the system (which prevents tearing at all times. G-SYNC + V-SYNC “Off” disables this behavior"
They also recommend leaving the framerate capped in-game around ~3 less than the monitor's refresh rate, but that discussion doesn't involve Reflex.
Which one has less input lag ? 300 fps + gpu bound + reflex vs 116 fps(120-4) + gsync + vsync + light gpu load.
ОтветитьLimiting your framerate to 4 or 8 frames below the monitor refresh rate is bullshit. If the frame limiter works correctly, the max FPS should be set to your monitor's refresh rate, not below it.
ОтветитьCould you do a video about g sync screen flicker?
ОтветитьNa,for me,nvidia boost is trash and the oher on,trash in fornite
Ответитьso which one of the 3 main options is best for games like csgo or valorant?
on an rtx 3070, R7 5800H, getting atleast 180+fps but its unstable between 180-320
Do these settings apply with using Vsync also? I don't have Gsync monitor so Vsync is only option.
Ответитьwhich would you use for apex legends
ОтветитьSooooo...reflex low latency On+ is useless if I just limit the frames ? Why use it ? And lets say I have 70 fps stable but 65 fps 1% los and 50 0.1% low, does it still count as 70 fps stable ? I mean I wont even notice drops and my 0.1% will always be somewhat low regardless of settings
ОтветитьHey man, what an incredible job you do for us. For me you have helped me a lot and I am thankful for that.
ОтветитьI've suscribed right now to your channel because you've this particular, clever pedagogical method of going to the point. Thanks a lot for the quality and intellectual honesty of your presentation. You make us earn one thousand of hours of checking some unintelligible others pretending experts. Best regards with all the wishes for this year.
ОтветитьSo if the competitive game doesn’t have reflex, use null?
ОтветитьI appreciate the concise description of what we need to do as competitive players. Keep up this great work!
ОтветитьMy games lag so much with G sync on but not G sync off? Is fps drops the case here because my fps dips a lot in warzone?
ОтветитьOld video but trying competitive settings and my FPS go to 299 in apex drops a lot.
ОтветитьI have a 240 hz 1440p, but on cod rebirth I only get 160-190 fps, should I set my hz rate to 144, fps limit to 140? For the smoothest
Ответитьhello for cs go, off, ultra o on? thanks
ОтветитьFor the competitive section why disable NULL? Since you are running unlimited frames you're more likely to get GPU bound, isn''t that why we should keep NULL enabled?
ОтветитьSo if you want better framtimes LLM to off?Wierd.Blurbusters says to either have it on ON (with an fps limiter) or on Ultra (without an fps limiter)
Ответитьapex legends use smooth or competitive which one better?
ОтветитьNice hypocrisy and inconsistency. Guess BlurBusters' are incorrect huh? Fuck all these arbitrary niche settings man. So tired of trying to figure out the "perfect" setup.
ОтветитьWhat's your take on full screen borderless for DX12 games like warzone? According to microsoft the performance should be identical due to full screen optimization where the fsb window takes full priority just like full screen exclusive. Would love to see input delay compared.
ОтветитьI feel that g-sync cause some input delay it should be better to turn it off at the cost of screen tearing but fuck that you can get used to it and at 240hz / fps scenario there is basically no tearing at all
ОтветитьYou're a genius, love you.
ОтветитьHi, for me it's not clear because here you say INGAME frame limiters have less delay, but in the NULL video you speak otherwise. So wich one is it better?
ОтветитьWhat exactly is enable+boost? Should RTX cards only use enable or enable + boost?
ОтветитьHi I bought a msi Mag272crx 240hrt curved and it freesync and it compatible with gsync but my question is it normal that gsync was automatically on in the control panel ? Help pls
Ответитьoverwatch now provided reflex low latency may i know which set up do you recommend ?
ОтветитьOverwatch now has the Reflex Low Latency mode. Exciting stuff!
Ответитьwhat if i use v-sync, g-sync, low latency and use an fps limiter to a value my pc can always maintain?
ОтветитьWhy does the competitive configuration not use low latency mode? That mode is most likely to get GPU bound with the uncapped framerate no?
ОтветитьYeah, this video is very confusing.
ОтветитьWhat about Apex? It has a bunch of Vsync options in game 🥴
ОтветитьIs ther a TLDR?
Ответить
