Do you know what sucks. I’ve been watching you since you started your own channel (usually from the TV) and I’m on my phone tonight and realise I wasn’t even subscribed! Maybe remind people to check if they are subscribed!!

I do automation. But it's just a pattern for the editing and posting sides of my channel work. I have pieces I use in a large number of vide3os, so I have those pieces per-made. Then when I upload, The video file name on my computer gets put as the YT vid name. The descriptions I use are C&P from 1 of 3 per-written text files. the thumbnail is (currently) pulled during the edit. If only I was a Master, instead of a Jack.

I niched down into oblivion and never grew FOR 3 YEARS. As soon as I started niching up I started blowing up- I've had more growth than I ever have and was able to join the YPP this year.

What happened to all your videos on channel makers?! Were they deleted?!?!?

OMG, I did not know, but I checked all 5 circles and have been doing it now for some time. I am getting better at the whole process and loving it more and more each day. 💚💚💚💚💚

I’m sorta in that stage now I’m not sure if I want to niche down with 5k subs or niche up 😭😭🤦🏾‍♂️😂

I used to niche down and didn't grow at all.... even worse, the channel nearly died... despite the niche being popular and the content being rather unique. The algorithm just didn't get it, presented the content to the wrong audience who didn't click, end of story.

Now I niche up with some videos AND niche down with others... works quite well! As a small channel, it's all about the algorithm, not (just) the audience... Since I started focusing more on the algorithm (blaming the algorithm) I started growing. Fast....

Nate I’ve got 2 questions for you. First, have you ever advised or roasted an aspiring kids channel? (And would you like to??) I’m asking because I know it’s an over saturated space but there’s little to no help for that genre.

And an idea I’ve been playing with is starting a second channel of my own (speaking as the mother of the kids) doing a behind the scenes of our kids channel with a “how it’s going” and “this worked for us” vibe. Hoping that one day when we’ve “made it” it could help others along the journey. You mentioned something like that in your video and it reminded me of my thought. So my second question would be: is that smart or too much? Should I stick to the original reason for being on YT which is our kids channel?

I was torn between a video essay channel about games or stories about football players... I ended up choosing the football channel. But due to the more aggressive copyright guidelines, I had to change the editing style, which meant that I could only post 1 video per month... I believe that this frequency is not enough nowadays

Well, I’d say I’m an artist and mom who wants to show behind the scenes of mom life accomplishing business goal, lifestyle, showing my skills and attracting fans that will either buy or get inspired to make a career change despite motherhood. Does that work?

so should I make seperate videos
or a single 1-2 hour compilation
