Hi I've just watched your video it's so informative thank you.
I actually live in a house that was built in 1760 in West Wales In the UK, so I am fascinated as to what the original owners of my house would have worn and how they occupied themselves.
Background music- Autumn by Antonio Vivaldi
ОтветитьBeautiful!!!❤😊 even more than our fashion today..not so good if your a nursing mom..but the dress itself is beautiful❤
Ответитьthe fact that most of us live in a developed democratic nations and still choose not to dress like this 😍😍
ОтветитьThis could not have been worn by a southern US woman
ОтветитьWhy was the pocket under three other layers? Am I missing something? How did she put things in there?
ОтветитьUm, she went from shift to two petticoats but no gown/skirt?
ОтветитьGosh I'd so love to try these on 😂 so pretty
ОтветитьAnyone know what pattern this stay would be close to if I wanted to recreate it ..
ОтветитьWho else is getting this recommended after watching Outlander?
ОтветитьBut i need to see asses in tight leggings, sometimes more than only asses😊❤.
Dirndl is also nice
Ahh, so that’s where little red riding hood comes from.
ОтветитьImagine if getting dressed in present time was þis difficult, costly, and time-consuming. Costly, as I presume most of þese items would be such in present time, unless you made these yourself.
ОтветитьShe almost looks like little red riding hood😂❤🧺
ОтветитьDude handmaiden tail much
ОтветитьThe cloak and linen cap give me Handmaid vibes
Ответить........:👧🏻: .. 🛑.

She is beautiful ❤
ОтветитьWhile the heat of today’s world and the prevalence of synthetic fibers make this style of dress somewhat impractical, I would LOVE to wear something like this.
ОтветитьWow
lovely & vintage looking, I am thrilled to see it in this channel.
Gorgeous
ОтветитьLadies, what is stopping you from dressing like this?
ОтветитьThe 60s the beginning of the end.
ОтветитьDoes anyone else note the irony of having to put your shoes on before the stays because you couldn't reach your feet, but you were then expected to go to work?
ОтветитьIt looks beautiful, but don't mind me it looks itchy as hell
Ответитьgood lord is she pretty, mush better most of todays trends
ОтветитьThis looks so comfortable and cosy 😍 Stays need to make a comback
ОтветитьMenstruation should be addressed. It's a normal function for 50% of the world's population. By not addressing it you're pretending it just doesn't exist and/or that's It's shameful.
ОтветитьWe need to bring back these pockets. Also can I be dressed up ? Like this needs to be a place where you can get dressed up as your favorite era and have a photo shoot.
ОтветитьDang got those leprechaun shoes lookin fly girl!! I’m getting claustrophobic just watching these layers pile on 😂
Ответить👍👍👍
ОтветитьWas this style for country living or city?
ОтветитьDo drawers? What did they do for their period?
ОтветитьComo toda certeza, ela não vai passar frio porque tu é louco, para que? Eu acho exagero 😂😂
ОтветитьI still want to know were I can get the patterns for the pair of bodies and the jacket, please.
ОтветитьSo pretty :D
ОтветитьNice. Beautiful girl
ОтветитьD
Ответитьsomething i learned from bernadette banner (shoutout) is that because only the layer worn closest to the skin was washed regularly, outer clothes actually lasted much longer! also this makes me want to wear big skirts so i can fit GIANT pockets under them! modern fashion silhouettes just don't accommodate space for books/food/secret items storage </3
ОтветитьAs I've mentioned on another video, I've been looking for the co-ordinating "painting" which may have been the source of inspiration. Well, ...lol... try looking up "red cloak, painting".. there are a ton to choose from!
ОтветитьVery informative Thanks for the video ☺
Ответитьomg how my type i wish i could buy something like that but the problam is that i am from egypt and it's hard to find anyone buying these things can any one help me?
ОтветитьShe's going slowly for the sake of narration, and the video is five minutes including hair and everything. It doesn't take that long to dress. The longest and most complex part is lacing the stays, but the invention of the front busk fasteners made even that take about as long as fastening a pair of high-waisted jeans.
ОтветитьThat looks so comfortable. Only difference is I'd make the arm holes in the stay bigger, but that's why you're supposed to make your own clothes.
ОтветитьVery big and huge legs and feet
Ответить100 layers challange in the 18th century.
ОтветитьMeanwhile, in South America: feathers, brazilian wax and makeup, necklaces and a lot of colorful stuff 😂😂😂😂. Just kidding. This is in 2022, at that time people in cities were copying european super hot garments just because it was... "noble"
ОтветитьI looked at a pot under the bed
