Deflation is NOT worse than INFLATION. Deflation makes the poor rich, inflation makes the Government and the banks rich. They think we are dumb. They convince us that prices going up is a good thing. That is not true but that’s what they want us to believe.

Anthropology offers a much different analysis as to the cause of the great depression. It was the seventh time in history that technology convergences rendered an established economic model obsolete. The new deal saved capitalism from itself. They had to invent GDP growth and planned obsolescence to move the economy forward. Advances in behavioral sciences enabled the creation of the "Consumer" mindset. That is why everything built prior to the depression was built to still be functioning today, while todays goods are designed to be in the landfill as quickly and efficiently as possible. Soooooo efficient.....
