Because they are stagnant. When AI hashes out a shape in seconds and it's ready for production, the archaic clay people wont know what hit them. Just 5 years from now there probably wont be any clay models being done.

"Designers develop vehicles that haven't even been announced yet"

Duh. How would you announce a vehicle that hasn't been designed?

“140° Fahrenheit” please use measurements that the rest of the world understands, not just Americans. Cheers.

Dont even have to watch this vid to know that its worth spending a tiny portion of the actual production price too see what it looks like, but maybe thats just because I learned my job at a company that makes the tools to form the sheet metals for the car body

And yet every car on the road looks exactly like every other car on the road of the same size. Why spend so much time on design if you never come up with anything different?

So like 6 f150 Texas edition including market adjustments… not that much compared to how many cars they sell.

And yet most of these companies gets the design wrong. Only Aston Martin makes cars I would buy if I had the money.

It won't change any time soon because it's an industry stuck in archaic ways. Maybe you need a physical full-sized model, but that doesn't really explain the clay. Maybe you need the clay, but that doesn't explain why you need monolith clay models. Maybe you need a monolith clay model but that doesn't explain why it has to be full sized.

I do honestly wonder because these days most cars look pretty much the same there's not a whole lot of artistic flares anymore

Proving these are idiots, none are tested for window angle everyday we are BEHIND some car and we are blinded by the angle of the back window and the sun.. Some manufactures are worse at this then others..

Modern car companies use high tech methods to design their cars? That tells why modern cars quality is garbage, have serious design flaws, and break down so easily.
